I take care of a parent with dementia and this gate works perfectly to keep them off the stairs when I'm not looking. It's easy for myself and older kids to open and close, but my parent can't figure out how to get it open. You can also lock the bottom stopper for added security. My kids know where the stopper is and it's easy for them to turn it, but my parent can't navigate it. The gate stays open well when engaged and is very sturdy when properly secured. Instructions were easy to understand.

I went through so many gate products on Amazon and I was so hesitant because I’ve seen some at my sister in law’s house and they weren’t sturdy at all! I was worried these would be the same (also the price is not too high) but thankfully they are so sturdy! You have the option of using a drill or if you are renting like me, I was able to use it with pressure only. Given that it’s not drilled on the wall I was worried it would be loose and it’s holding up perfectly. I want to mention that it’s very well packed and organized with clear recurring instructions and warnings. PS: read the box from the outside and the yellow paper attached to the gate before removing any of the straps! Hope this helps! Totally recommend.

I received the product and in a matter of 15 minutes I had the baby gate installed. Very easy to install and this baby gate is made of metal so its sturdy. The gate closes behind me or I can open the gate all the way and it will remain open. I appreciate the ease of all of it.

This product is excellent in both quality and design. I had already tried two other gates that took forever to get here and were not quality, so this product was highly welcomed by all of us in the house! I'm loving how easily it opens and closes as it's in a highly trafficked area! Solid, strong, tight and workable fit!

Just bought our fourth one of these (bought one as a gift, kept 3)! They're super sturdy, adjustable, and easily setup and taken down. We have one blocking our stairwell and two others in doorways to keep dogs separated. Other than one time our dog- with bad separation anxiety- was able to push the gate down, they've been extremely sturdy. And that only happened because we hadnt screwed it in, were just using the pressure to hold it. They're a good height as well and look really nice vs standard baby gates.

There are a lot of similar gates sold on Amazon. I chose this one because it had the best price for a taller, wider gate. It's very attractive. I love this style. They're easy to install and very sturdy. I love the "knob-style" screw used to tighten the gate in place. Very easy to use and made installation very simple. Two complaints: the lock is noisy unless you use two hands and are very careful. This is an issue at night because it is in a hallway right outside a bedroom. My second complaint is that my cats jump right over it. We got the tall one to keep them out of the hallway at night to eliminate noise near the bedrooms, but they actually make more noise jumping over it. It's still nice if we need to sequester the dogs for some reason, but it's primary function is moot.
