I had one in the front yard that broke - ordered these, replaced the broken one and voila- the light is back in action with one to spare for the future - which always grantees a new problem!

Everything about the design facilitates ease of use for existing path lights. Flat head simplifies driving the stakes into the ground. Design eliminates the need to disconnect wiring on existing lights as the wire bundle easily slides through the notch. And the unique use of metal female threaded hole is superior to the commonly used plastic - which is more easily damaged.

Appears like it will last a long time; sturdy thick plastic. The threads on my existing light didn't really match these, but I was able to get it to screw in enough to make it work ok. The thread match deal is the only thing I'd watch out for - other than that concern, it's a good product.

For many years, I’ve used brass landscape fixtures from Volt Lighting. They’re relatively inexpensive and very high quality. Their stakes are heavy-duty and capable of supporting tall fixtures without tipping. I mention all that because these look very similar to, and should be functionally identical with, the brass insert stakes from Volt. They’re not. Although identical in size and thread pitch, the threads in the Makergroup stakes are not cut as deep and I was unable to screw in a fixture more than a turn or two. Unscrewing the fixture showed that the Makergroup stake’s threads were clearly rubbing against the crest and sides of the fixture’s threads.I’m giving these three stars because I assume that there are some fixtures that these will work with…most likely those from Makergroup itself. If the threads were cut deeper, though, they could be used with every fixture that uses standard 1/2” threading. Major Bummer.

Some of the landscape fixtures that you can purchase come with small, thin stakes that might work at first, but I find that if they get knocked around at all they can break on top at the point where the fixture screws into the stake, or the stake comes loose in the soil. These landscape stakes solve both issues.I included pictures to show that they have included a brass metal threading for the top of the stake to accept the landscape fixture and hold it firm. Once the lamp is installed and put in the ground, the top threads are the failure point, and this product prevents this with a strong metal screw system. The stake is long and flairs out a bit which provides the solid foundation for holding the fixture in place.Great price and solid performer - worth the purchase.
