Easy to read numbers, sturdy, durable. Seems accurate. I keep mine in my garage as I spend quite a bit of time in there. Nice large face. Light, easy to hang. Does what it's supposed to do. No cons I can think of.

The temperature is off by about 3-5 degrees but it serves it purpose for going outside. It's close but not that accurate.

this device is not accurate by any means. I mounted it out of the sunlight and the first day it showed a reading of 78 degrees. It was 45 degrees outside! This morning it is 35 degrees and it shows a reading of 30. When the sun does hit it, it goes off the chart! Total waste of money, but I threw the box away so I won't be returning it. This is a definite DON'T BUY!

I chose this instrument because it was a nearly perfect match visually for a wall clock we have enjoyed for years. I was initially concerned when, upon opening the package on a hot day, the thermometer was reading about 10 degrees too high. The instruction sheet tucked in the package included the unlikely recommendation in such a case to place the thermometer in a refrigerator for five minutes before checking its accuracy. After that simple step, the easily-read dial settles to within one degree of a good electronic thermometer - consistently just below. That suggests the minor difference could likely be erased by the calibration procedure.

With record breaking heat in Las Vegas, I thought it would be great to see the actual temperature in the shade on our back porch. This large dial thermometer fit the bill. The first one I ordered got lost in the mail so had to reorder it and get a refund. That’s all settled and now I can look out the back door and see how hot it really is here at the house and not the airport. So far, the highest temp I’ve seen is 121 and that was typical for almost an entire week. There’s also a hygrometer but it’s a lot smaller and you have to squint to see it. I’m also suspicious of the accuracy as it tends to show much higher humidity than the weather shows. Oh well. Still happy with it. Highly recommended.
