Can’t find one in ten that can cut thread! Don’t waste your money!

Bought to replace the blades on my Havel seam ripper. They do fit but the shape is different and they're much duller than the name brand blades that came with the seam ripper.

I use the IMS-CBLD12 Scalpel Sterile Blades as a seam ripper. They are the best ever seam ripper in the sewing room. If you sew then you know that sometimes you just have to rip out the tread and start over. It use to be a grueling job working with the regular seam ripper. Warning!! This is NOT your grandma's seam ripper. This is sharp and can be used at lighting speeds, carefully though, to take out unwanted hems. The best thing is that you can replace it when it gets dull from so much cutting since there are 100 in the box.

Was a bit worried. Some reviews suggested they aren't sharp. I suppose, if one were used to obsidian? Or got a bad batch? Mine are sharp as spooky, for steel. Using this for stitch removal. I wanted something with a bit more to hold. I had hoped for a one piece, but then saw the wisdom of a handle with a replaceable blade. No, this works very well. Is sharp. And, so far, seems to be holding it's edge quite well, and for some time now.

These work real well and they are much cheaper than the pkgs of 3! Now I don’t feel bad to replace the blade more often.

We use scalpel blades in our workshop for crafts and projects, as a less-expensive alternative to X-Acto blades. These arrived quickly, and perfectly packaged individually. These do fit in one of our X-Acto blade holders. Note that these are carbon steel, not stainless, if that matters to what you want to accomplish.

Blades are all there, but the 3 or so I've used are far from sharp. Won't even shave arm hair, which I can do with pocket knives with much thicker blades. Definitely not what you imagine when you think of a scalpel blade's sharpness. They are pretty cheap for a box of 100 individually wrapped sterile blades, just wish they were sharper.I'm using them for agar work so they work for that, but cutting anything more solid would be out of the picture. I like the shape of the blade for the work I'm doing, but I may pick up better blades and save these as backups. Was worth a try, you get what you pay for in the end, I would stick to more name brand blades.
