Eight year old grandson was excited when it came out of the box. Seems to be study enough and size is appropriate for his use. He uses a magnifying glass to read names of countries and some small print but this allows me to help him explorer and pronounce different countries names with him. Bonding experience for both of us. Makes a nice night light for his room. Good price and good product. Happy Campers!

I love this globe and the light it produces is perfect for a night light! The globe is made well and I think it’s great for a starter globe for kids due to its size and light producing effect. It can be used as a great reference to demonstrate where places are relative to where you are. I bought for a 7 year old boy.NOTE: you need a very very small screw driver to open the battery portion of the globe so the globe will light up. This was the only annoying part of this product. I don’t understand why some toys have such teeny tiny screws. So if you do not own a teeny tiny screw driver then you will have to get one to open the battery pack on the globe.

Got it for the kids to learn some geography. It is well made and small enough for them to hold and look. Globe turns nicely and the light is bright enough. Perfect for my purpose.

I got the package on time. Globe is easily readable. The stand is made of plastic, so pls make sure not to put much force. Use it gently. My kid loved it as the country names and state names are written in big letters. One big problem I found in this globe is the map of India. India's north most state, Jammu and Kashmir is a disputed area - it's divided between India, Pakistan and China. But in the map, the Chinese occupied area is shown as part of China where as the other two are shown in different color, as if it's another country. Even worse is map of India's north eastern state Arunachal Pradesh. India fully controls it and India has a Cheif Minister in that state. China says its there place though. But in the map that area is shown it in China !! How dare !!! India fully controls it yet it's shown in China's side. I know this globe is made in China, but then too this is ridiculous. This globe is for educational purposes for the kids. It should convey facts, not each country's propoganda.
