This product was for my daughters (ages 12 and 13). They love crocheting and wanted to try this craft. The packaging was well done and each coaster comes individually wrapped with supplies in the package. The ease of use is a bit challenging and they had to watch a video. I ended up buying a new tool that would be of better quality, but overall the design, yarn quality, and overall quality, packaging, and functionality seemed as I expected. I was satisfied with it and my girls loved it. They think it was fun and designs look as pictured.

The yarn frays easily, but that’s okay because I only wanted this kit to try punching needle work. It has allowed me to learn the process and come out with a cute little product at the end. If you are a seasoned punch needle person, i’d go with a little higher quality. This is perfect for a beginner.

The directions don’t tell you how to actually use the kit just how to thread the needle. After I figured it out it was very fun to do. The designs are also very cute and they turned out great.

This was my first time doing a punch needle project. Here you can see a picture of my finished project with the picture provided. I enjoyed this project and will likely do more than one.

When I ordered these, I had literally never heard of punch needle craft. I love felting and other fiber arts, so I decided to look for something new to learn, and found this. I was happy to see how many tools are provided in this kit, including craft scissors and a threader, and the careful way things were separated and packaged. I found the instructions confusing (keep in mind I’d never even heard of this and didn’t understand what I was to be doing), so I searched for videos of other crafters doing it so I could understand the concept. Then it seemed incredibly simple and I got right to work. It’s very satisfying! It’s not like crochet where you can watch tv or something while you do it, but you can listen to something while you work. But your eyes need to be on the fabric you’re punching into. Point the opening of the punch tool in the direction you’re moving toward! It’s satisfying to hear and feel and is great for a quick and easy project.

The coasters turned out cute. On the video it made it look easier than it actually was to place the sticky pads on it. The pads are square so they need to be cut into shape. The “needle” was not sharp enough to thread through the layers to keep the pad on tight.
