This was a perfect fit for my Igloo cooler. It's easy to swap out but you probably need pliers to loosen the old plug. Igloo makes a couple different styles of drain plug so make sure this is the right one!

Tried the non-name brand replacement which did not fit, leaked and ultimately broke. Go with the name brand. It fit easily, does not leak, and is still in use.

The tether on the old drain broke and the cap was brittle and coming apart. This replaced the entire drain perfectly! The exploded view on the package shows how to assemble. Just had to reverse how the cap tether was mounted to the drain as the tether was twisted. Like new again. Igloo part for Igloo cooler.

Have an old Igloo cooler that is in great condition but was missing the spout. I don’t believe in throwing things out, I like repairing things and this little replacement spout did the trick. I would have kept the cooler regardless but now it makes it so much easier to use.

I have a 10 year old (?) Igloo Ice Cube cooler. My cooler was designed for a drain spout, but this particular model didn't have one. This deep of a cooler definitely needs one!Took about 10 minutes to install. The instructions had a helpful diagram and measurements of the parts. The small area I drilled through in the cooler is solid plastic, so there was no foam to deal with.- Place plastic nut inside the cooler wall where it would have room to turn/tighten around the spout.- Use a pen/marker to trace inside the hole. In the center of the circle drill a small pilot hole through to the exterior of the cooler.- From the outside I used a spade drill bit to create the hole for the spout (could probably use a hole saw too).- Clean out any left over plastic pieces.- The spout doesn't really have a rubber washer to make a solid seal. Also, I didn't want to tighten it too much since it's all plastic. I used Loctite Clear Silicone Waterproof Sealant (because it was inexpensive) on the parts going through the hole I just drilled. Took about 24 hours to completely set.- Tighten so that it's snug. I made sure to keep the cap cord on top so it wouldn't snag on the ground/surface.Mine is installed probably at the lowest spot while still allowing the plastic nut to turn/tighten inside the cooler. I took it camping last week for several days and it worked flawlessly! I hope the spout/cap last me another 10 years.
