This angle gauge is so much better then less expensive gauges. The reason is that you calibrate it, and then you don't have to zero it out again. I had a Wixey gauge before this. Every time you turn it on you have to hit the zero button. And sometime it will "loose" that position while using it, so you have to re-zero. I set my table saw to 90, re-zero and check again and it may not be the same reading. super frustrating and makes you loose confidence.High reccomend this iGaging product!

I didn't see anyone else mention it so I'll mention it so that buyers can make informed decisions. This cube will not get any readings between -0.10 to +0.10. It will go from 0.15 to 0 with nothing in between. Similarly, this will occur for 90 and it will go from 89.90 to 90.00 and you cannot get a reading for 89.95. This is done by algorithm and isn't because the cube gets perfect readings so it should not be a knock on other angle cubes which do not use an algorithm to do this. This makes it seem more "repeatable" due to additional margin of error added through this.Since it's advertised as 0.05 resolution, to do this using an algorithm can be deceiving since that means that the resolution is 0.15 near 0 and the resolution is 0.10 near 90. When zeroed and flipped on all 4 sides, I got readings of 0, 90, 0.20, 90. This is good considering that there is no reason to put the cube upside down and understanding the that the resolution on the sides are 0.10 near 90.Other than that, the screen scratches easily so I added a screen protector. The flat surfaces will work nicely for using on knife sharpeners or leveling scopes. That was my main reason for replacing my china cube was because the bottom was not completely flat by design so repeatability was an issue on smaller surfaces.

After buying another brand that would NEVER read 90.0 degrees, I bought this one to try. It has magnets on all four sides, as opposed to only on the bottom. This unit allowed me to set my saw blade exactly 90 and this was tested on both sides of the blade. I also verified this with a precision square. To add to its value, it has USB charging, as opposed to having to have a spare battery at the ready. I only wish I had bitten the bullet earlier and just bought this device. It would have saved a lot of frustration.

Bought this primarily to use for setting bevel cuts on my table saw and it work painlessly and accurately. Another use I found was to use a level to establis a zero slope that lay it on any sloped surface to find the angle.

Got this for my wicked edge sharpening system and this angle cube is a real game change. Super accurate and easy to use. Magnets on 2 sides and the bottom means it stays on the stones and not having to hold it is a major bonus! Great angle cube!

It's a good little tool, but there are a couple of things.... Firstly, the resolution goes down to 0.05 degrees, but it claims an accuracy of +/- 0.2 degrees. So, it's not for doing fine work. I use it to set the angle of my knife sharpener so it's adequate, but you probably wouldn't want to build a house with it. The only other gripe is that the display is hard to read if you're not looking straight at it which can be a pain in tight places.Other than that, it's pretty good.

This is an amazing little tool. I use it for tool set up often. The feature that allows you to zero to your tool is extremely valuable. I am obsessed with having things level, plumb and square so I carry this with me a lot and have many uses for it in addition to tool set up. The internal usb rechargeable battery is so much better than needing to change out batteries. You just need a micro usb cable and a charging port. I had a problem with the first one delivered. The indicating led to let you know if it is charging and then fully charged was not working. I put in a call to customer service. Their message said to leave a phone number and they would return my call. They called in just a few minutes. I described the issues to the tech I spoke with. He stated that he was not positive how the led indicator should work but that he would find out and return my call. He call back in about 10 minutes and said that it did appear that the unit was faulty and advised me to initiate a return on Amazon. I buy a lot on Amazon but have never returned anything so the process was new to me. The process was very quick and easy and they are shipping me a new unit. I am very pleased with their customer service at this point.

I am very pleased with this gage. It's well made, accurate and easy to use. I especially like the fact that it's rechargeable. I'm embarrassed to admit that I inadvertently tested it's durability the third time I used it. I was interrupted by someone during the process of setting the blade angle of my mitre saw and forgot to remove the gage from the blade before making a cut. The gage hit the guard and went flying to my right and landed on the cement driveway. I later found the missing face plate wedged in the sawdust chute. Amazingly, despite some very visible dings, it still works fine and maintains it's accuracy. I labeled the buttons with a Sharpie and continue to use it.

The iGaging 35-2269 "AngleCube" ip54 Backlit Gen 3 is the leading inexpensive small form factor digital angle measuring device currently on the market. The sturdy aluminum ip54 case, combined with an internal battery which is re-chargeable via a USB cable makes for both easy use and maintenance. The AngleCube (Gen 3) is both very fast and accurate and was a great help in the setup of all the bevel angles of a new Dewalt DHS790 12" mitre saw.I give the product five stars because I disagree with the other reviewers down-grading the AngleCube (Gen 3) when it comes to the readability of the backlit LCD screen. If you keep the AngleCube (Gen 3) in the normal vertical orientation then the screen display digits will "fade" if it is viewed from above a dead-on viewing angle. However, the AngleCube (Gen 3) does have a reversible LCD backlit screen, so first "zero" the unit (if necessary) in its normal vertical orientation and then simply turn the unit "upside down". The screen view is then automatically "flipped" by the AngleCube (Gen 3) and now the screen display digits are perfectly readable from above a dead-on viewing angle. Simple answer - if you are looking "down" on the backlit LCD screen flip the unit upside down, if you are looking "up" at the screen leave the unit "right-side" up.
