My AC lines were giving me problems for years. I have bought products that I poured into the lines that would only work for a small period of time, and I was constantly spending money on having an AC company come to clean and flush the lines. What a waste of money that was. This is perfect. Not only does it work well, I’m saving a ton of money by using it instead of paying the AC company. I’ve been using this for eight months now in South Florida, where our AC is running on 72 practically nonstop. There are seven of us and a large dog (i.e., dog hair) that live in my large two-story home and I have four air-conditioning units (one of my units is in a guest house and for some reason, I cannot get it to connect to Wi-Fi so I use the manual dispense for that one since it won’t connect. That was kind of tricky to figure out, eventually, they’ll probably make that a bit more user-friendly).Overall, I am very happy with this system because we would regularly have to call the air-conditioning company to come clean out the units and I would frequently have to use my wet vacuum to suction out the water in the drain pans (my husband has no idea how to fix the AC so it was up to me every time so I was excited to find this), and it was costing a fortune every few months... plus the ac few leaks we had that caused significant damage.I noticed that on one unit, which is the smaller unit for just my master bedroom, the unit is in the garage (in a closet), and we are converting our garage and I added a mini split in there , and we connected the drain for that to the same drain as the master hvac drain. And we had a problem where that backed up and clogged during the garage construction (most likely from the dust getting into the mini split) and had to call my hvac company. So on that one, I ended up doing a couple of extra manual dispenses after getting it fixed and went through more solution, and I might do that every so often in the future just to make sure it doesn’t get too clogged up since there are technically two units on one line. But if you consider the fact that you have people spending hours in your house and potentially animals in your house, even with the Iflo systems hooked up, you may still have to suction out your pipes every once in a random while, it’s really not a big deal (when that happened we just did all 4 condensate lines at once but we haven’t done them since and it’s been several months without issue). Everyone who is still complaining about having to suction out their pipes once in a while needs to realize that even with putting chemicals down the pipes, you’re still getting hair and dust and God knows what else sucked in there, and you still have to clean your coils and maintain your units and every once in a while you’re still just going to have to suck the pipe snot out. The Iflo doesn’t just vaporize stuff. This just helps you from having to get your AC guys out there to constantly clean your condensate lines and service it. You’re still saving money. The Iflo is awesome, very happy we installed it. Even if my husband has literally no clue how to change out the bottles or work the app and I’m still in charge lol.Also… the people having trouble getting the bottles to connect, all that means is that you have to twist the bottle the other direction because you put it in the wrong way. It is really NOT that complicated.I saw that they now have a 6mo bottle that releases solution every month instead of every 2 weeks , but I think I’ll stick to the 3mo one that does every 2 weeks.
