I'll start off by saying I had a cheaper precision bit set I bought from Amazon. It worked but I never felt the bits would last too long before rounding. This is a world of difference. The bits are harder, the bit driver operates like precision clockwork. I am not afraid to actually use them. The magnetic case keeps them secure and easy to access. It includes every bit you'll need and some you'll never need. It has the standard array of Phillips, flat, Torx, etc. It also has the bits to work on Apple products and the NES security bit so you can solder a new battery into your classic Zelda cartridge. 5 Stars!I put off buying this for a long time because of the price, but at $40, it is worth adding this to your tool bag and I now know I should have bought it sooner.The manufacturer sells it for the same price on their site (plus shipping) but shipping takes a week. Excellent quality with an amazing amount of useful bits.

Grabbed these after they were recommended by several people. Very handy tools that are compact enough to fit in any of my tool bags. The heads are small enough to help me disassemble small projects, although I would have liked to see a tri-wing in there alongside the other security bits. Glad to have an adapter that makes the bits compatible with my existing drivers, too.

In a word - excellent. I was looking for a bit set to work on retro gaming consoles and this set has all the pieces you'll need, including JIS screws and game bits. I've used the set to tear down a few consoles in the last couple of weeks and the set has been great. The screw drivers has a great hand-feel and the bits are well laid out and clearly identified. The double purpose lid/screw organizer is great. If the bits fit a bit more securely in the driver (no issues of them ever coming out, just could be a *bit* more snug) this would be a 5/5 for sure. That being said, it definitely is more of a 5/5 product than a 4/5 product (hence the score).Would buy again if needed and would recommend to a friend!

Fantastic little setwell made, great magnetic caseI got all the men in my life one so they don'e have to fight over one set.

the bits are high quality and come with a lot of them. the screwdriver is free spinning so you don't have to spin your wrist on every turn but only when cranking them really tight it really is a wrist saver. the case is great its three pieces a top plastic shell and a bottle shell with a nice foam insert to keep everything in place. the top part of the case has a grid to keep the screws you remover separated and organized. the case is held in places with 4 magnets which i haven't had any problems with.

I love using this kit and it has saved me ton of money preparing items that would have otherwise been difficult to repair. The quality of the components is great and it does a couple of things that I think really set it apart.First, the bits don't snap or twist (within reason). I have had other micro driver kits that are a nightmare to use because the smaller bit bend, twist, and even snap off without much force. This kit does not suffer from that. I am able to apply a more than reasonable amount of torque and the bits just seem to take it.Two, if you do happen to break or otherwise ruin a bit, iFixit (true to their ethos) sells individual replacement bits for these sets on their website. That is GREAT.

Took the plunge, I normally had cheapo kits but wanted to mod some controllers and they used torx screws (why).This kit is nice, covers quite a few cases, not very precision bits so not good for a pocket watch for example (tried). But controllers, electronics and such? you are good, also has extended shaft for harder to reach places.The magnets are also strong and work proper unlike what I had previously

The ifixit Mako precision set has I feel the best for value out of all the precision bits from other brands I've ever had. This Mako set has I would say most needs covered, every type of bit is well made and fits the screwdriver in a neat/precise way. The hand tool these bits go in to is really well made, and makes fixing things easy as the top of it swivels smoothly in hand whilst using, the bits are precisely made and meant to be used for electronic fixes and other fiddly small jobs, these are for normal/gentle use and not for high torque or undoing strong bolts screws ect as their not for heavy duty use. Overall these are easily the best I've come across and for intended use are superb.... A real easy recommendation, if you like fixing things or at least want to have a go at try to repair something.. get this set. It has most needed bit types generally used.

No hay falla con este desarmador multipunta, lo he usado para desarmar juguetes, pc, play station 4, etc, ademas tiene un imá muy bueno que sirve para sacar algún tornillo por si se atora o no sale fácil, y otra gran ventaja que lo puedes adaptar a un desarmador de esos con matraca porque cuenta con un adaptador a entrada de 1/4 por lo que podrias usar las puntas en un desarmador mas grande de matraca que te haria más eficiente el trabajo según lo requiera la situación.

I have had this set for about 4 months now and want to take the time to do a proper review. I was impressed with how sturdy the driver, case, and all of the bits were immediately. However, with things like tools, I feel like looks can be deceiving. The only way to tell the true quality and comfort of them is through use on various projects and time. Well 4 months isn't a long period of time, but I feel I have used these on enough projects at this point to give an accurate opinion on their true quality. For starters, everything I've used in this kit has fit perfectly to its designated purpose. There are no loose fitting bits stripping out the heads of screws and no oversized ones needing to be filed down. I am just as happy about the ease of use and comfort. The driver is well made, perfectly weighted, and just the right size to fit in tight areas while allowing me to still have a full grip when I need to break free a tight screw. The layout of the bits with their angular placement is the most functional on any kit that I've used. They're easily identifiable while allowing constant access to all of the bits. There's no need to shuffle around others to get to the desired one. The entire kit is well thought out and a breath of fresh air with its simplicity. The lid is thick, heavy, and spacious enough to make the perfect parts' tray when I'm working outside of my normal workstation. When I'm working on things, I feel like everything flows from one step to another so much smoother now that I have this kit. I no longer am stopping and going every few minutes to change bits, replace my previously used bits, and to juggle my parts tray into the mix so I don't lose any parts. Finally, I'd like to address the lifetime warranty. Let's face it, there's hundreds of kits out there.You'd probably need a dozen of them to get all the special bits that come in this set. Who knows how many of those bits would be a one job and done tool. I've had bits in kits that didn't make it through the disassembly of a single controller, let alone multiple projects. This kit is made to last, and they stand by that. I speak based on experience. I recently had my first bit failure and decided to reach out to the iFixit team. I will add that this particular bit seemed to be a one off, mismanufactured piece as it portrayed none of the quality I've come to expect from this kit. The company responded to me post haste, and within 24 hours sent out not one, but two replacement bits for the one I had an issue with. Within two days, I received the well packaged replacements along with a pleasant note, and I couldn't be more impressed. I will not hesitate to purchase any other products that iFixit offers in the future. I am happy that I found this product and this great company that stands behind it. I highly recommend this toolkit to anyone, from those who want to try their hand at repairing their own electronics, to the avid electronics modifiers who need tools that last.
