This product is awesome. The little heat sink strip that it comes with seems to works perfectly to dissapate heat as far as I can tell. I did not notice any heat and it only got very slightly warm with use. I used the USB c to c cable it came with so throughput should be as advertised, although I didn't actually measure it. I liked the ease of use and its locking mechanism works great once you figure it out. One end of it has sort of large arrows on it that you push down on and slide to lock or unlock the whole thing together.The one issue I had with it is the little rubber nubs for locking the SSD down once you slide it in place. The documentation called them screws but they are not screws. They are little black rubber nubs, (plugs) that you press down on, kind of hard too, that do lock it down. This was the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five. I thought it was very nice that they included two of these as it's quite possible to lose one while trying to get it down into place.I would buy another one and I do recommend this product.

This was quite easy to install my drive and get working. I bought this to recover files from a crashed laptop. Pulled the drive out and installed into the enclosure. Affixed the tape to the drive, then the heat sink to the other side of the tape. Make sure to place it correctly the first time! Plugged it in and my new laptop recognized it immediately as an external drive. Had a bit of a shock when a message came up to enter the bitlocker 48 digit code to unlock the drive, but was able to find it by logging into my MS account. Whew! After that, it was just a matter of finding my files and copy/paste. The speed was okay, the music files took the longest, but there were a lot of them. There was little to no temperature difference after transferring the files, so A+! After that, I re-formatted the old drive and now use it as a backup. Total operation only took about a half-hour while doing other things. The seller emailed me shortly after receipt informing me of their 3 year warrantee. Very responsive of the seller and I would consider purchasing from them again.

I recently upgraded my PS5's NVMe expansion from 1TB to 2TB. So I was left with a WD SN850X 1TB drive going spare and figured I could use it as an external drive for my PC.My WD drive had a chunky heatsink already on it, as that's how you buy them for PS5.I didn't want to mess about removing that chunky heatsink, in case I ever wanted to put it back in a PS5 or give it to a family member to use in theirs.So the good thing about this enclosure was that I could plug the drive in, and simply not slide the cover back on (it physically cannot due to the heatsink protruding).That's absolutely fine for me as I'm not bashing it around or anything. I plugged it into my PC, initialised/formatted the drive in the Disks and Volumes tool, and voila! Worked perfectly!Obviously if you do want the drive fully enclosed, you can't use an NVMe with a heatsink already attached, and will have to remove it and use the supplied shallow heatsink instead.

Il prodotto è estremamente efficace e semplice da utilizzare. L'ho acquistato per formattare un ssd nvme e non c'è stato alcun problema a farlo riconoscere dal pc. Una volta inserito il disco nell'apposito slot, collegandolo via usb al pc questo viene riconosciuto come un qualunque hard disk, ssd, usb pen che sia.Fantastico che ci sia compreso l'adattatore sub A->C, che rende già il cavetto in sé un buon prodotto che può tornare utile in diverse occasioni.Da un punto di vista puramente estetico il case si presenta molto bene e anche la luce blu che ne denota l'accensione fa un bell'effetto.Sono molto soddisfatto dell'acquisto e, non avendo testato la velocità nel trasferimento dati o il calore generato con l'utilizzo prolungato, posso assicurare che quantomeno per un utilizzo sporadico va alla grande (poi anche fosse uno che uno voglia acquistarlo di qualche marchio "blasonato" almeno qui su amazon non ne ho trovati, quindi...)

Purchased to add a 2nd USB NVMe to my desk system, since I have 2 2tb NVMe not being used. (Intel 660p and a WD SN770) The adapter is pretty straight forward, and I chose it because of the rated speed, and storage area accommodates a low profile heatsink, which I already had installed.Installed the SN770 on it, and performs at near-max speeds for USB3.2. (see pic) Backed the data off it, and module got very warm, but not uncomfortable to handle. (Meaning heat dissipation is working) Has indicator on top for activity, and no extraneous RGB. No issues with toolless installation, and comes with spare rubber mount.Very nice and affordable solution, and good for business environments with its clean appearance.

Nice Hard drive case, includes both thnder bolt (usbC) cable end and normal USB. Well made works great. Includes heat sink and thermal paste sheet to install inside.

I needed to upgrade a Windows 11 laptop SSD from 256GB to 1TB. Purchased this adapter and put a 1TB Samsung 980 M2 SSD in it. Rebooted the laptop into a Ubuntu live CD usb thumb stick and apt installed clonezilla. 15 minutes later, the windows 11 boot SSD disk was fully and exactly cloned onto the new Samsung 980 drive. Used gparted to move the recovery partition to the end of the drive, then shut the laptop down. Swapped the new 1TB Samsung 980 SSD into the laptop and it booted up normally as if nothing changed. Using the windows 11 disk manager, I was able to expand the boot "c:" drive to use all the unallocated extra disk space. 30 minutes total effort to quadriple my laptop's SSD storage and zero issues.This adapter worked like a champ and had a very fast transfer rate, plus with recognized by Windows 11 and Ubuntu without any driver installations. Having a USB-C and USB-A connectors will make this a versatile external storage solution for quite a few of my other devices.
