These extenders keep the gate a lot more steady! I always have this problem with baby gates where I need to extend the end pieces all the way out to fit my doorway which makes the gate less stable and wiggly. These extenders really help to prevent it from moving around and protect my walls from damage at the same time.

My pressure mounted baby gate was about an inch too short for our hallway so these extender wall mounts worked great to provide an exact fit. I thought these extenders were adjustable but they are just solid pieces of plastic which provided an inch and a half of extra length. If you're in need of an extra inch these extenders work great but for anything else I would look elsewhere.

These are so a lot bigger than I thought so it didn’t work out for what I needed it for. However on a wall with a lot space this would work even better.

I had ordered a different flat (not extended) set of these to spread the pressure from the small round end. The flat one spread the pressure over about three times the area. Unfortunately my gate was a bit small and I had to have a piece of wood between and gate and wall on one side. This extender has all the advantages of the flat pieces I ordered but with the extra length so I do not need that extra piece of wood. I did not know that these existed, stumbled across them and ordered them.

I had an old gate, but it wasn’t wide enough for the opening where I wanted to put it. By adding these, I was able to use it in that opening and not have to buy a new gate. They saved me a lot of money. They’re rubbery on the bottom to help them grip to your wall and not mark up your wall. As long as your tension is tight enough, the gate should be strong enough. If you need extra strength, you can screw these to your wall. They don’t come with screws, but they do have holes in the middle of them to allow you to screw them in if you want to. I definitely recommend these if your gate isn’t quite wide enough. My stair rail stuck out too far for the gate to fit with the pressure mounts extended all the way...I needed the screw-in pressure mounts to be a wee bit longer so that the edge of the gate would clear the stair rail. These provided a bit more space (about 3/4") so that I could use these with the pressure mounts, giving me a bit more space between the wall and the edge of the gate. That allows the gate to be positioned on the first step rather than on the floor in front of the staircase.

These were just what we needed to fill a small gap to make our gate reach the sides.
