Best ever tape for dressing wounds. Now, we don't have any sensitivity so I can't speak to that, but this tape actually stays on and holds the gauze and ointment in place! Even on my husbands neck right in the stubble! I can finally throw away all the stupid bits in the first aid kit. I don't need a million sizes because it is cut to fit, and the adhesive actually sticks. Its def going to pull hair out.

I’ve gotten to the point where almost every bandage causes blistering. These do not, especially important for wounds that require a month of coverage. This was recommended by my dermatologist and what they used in the office after my precancerous mole was removed.

I am a nurse who has worked in several surgical ICUs so I understand a lot about wound healing, and the products and materials used in wound healing. My mother has extremely (almost ludicrously) sensitive skin that can be very reactive. After 50, she developed an “allergy” to adhesive so any tape on her skin would cause blisters within a day. After having an excision on her back, our dermatologist who also did my MOHS surgery and teaches at a prestigious medical school in the South, suggested this brand of tape for her. It still caused a little redness but overall it was vastly improved. It also was very effective at adhering to the skin (which is the whole darn point lol). I wholeheartedly recommend this tape for people with very sensitive skin. I believe it is made in Germany and I think the EU has much better understanding of skin healing science.

I am type 1 diabetic and sweat a lot during the summer months, especially when working out. I find that the adhesive that comes with continuous glucose monitors and insulin pumps insertion kits is not strong enough to stand up to sweat. I cannot afford, either financially (these supplies are expensive!!) or from a health perspective, for supplies to disconnect and need to be replaced. Enter Hypafix. A little of this dressing goes a long way - I simply place a strip or two over my CGM and pump insertion point and it greatly helps in keeping my devices adhered to my body. I've tried many brands and this is the only one that gave the adhesion needed without causing rashes or skin irritation. I pre-cut strips of this before going on trips to make sure that I always have some available.
