This is a very nice heater with a very reasonable price. It certainly does produce a lot of heat. It uses about 7800 watts at 238 volts according to my meter. So slightly less than 8500w but that's normal for almost all electric heaters. The controls work well, as does the remote. Two slight nitpicks: The fan is weak. I have seen other units that are almost the same as this one that use a more powerful motor. The motor in this one is a cheap shaded pole motor, like in a regular window fan. That's fine usually, but not quite powerful enough for this heater to heat a large room without maybe another fan to circulate warm air around. What happens is, the heater makes its own little "bubble" of heat about 10 feet around it and then it shuts off, and the air beyond that stays a lot cooler. I put a little fan near it to circulate more air, and it can warm my medium-small basement and one car garage in no time. Also, the finish scratches easily, so be careful installing it. Not really an issue if you don't bump it into things.

Works great, possible to use a cable if you already have a 240V/50A receptacle.I have such a receptacle that I had installed to use as an EV charger. (See photo)If you don't trust your wiring skills, I wouldn't attempt this, but connecting the cable was straightforward. First tip is to cap off the neutral wire and tie it down - you don't need it for this, just the 2 hots and ground.This produces tons of heat. I had a 4500W heater there before, and this heats up the place much faster.Build quality is fine. Really, it's a metal box with a small circuit board, a big heating coil, and a fan. Time will tell if it holds up.

I believe this is a good heater. I returned it because it had to many amps for my breaker box in my building.

Works great is heated my garage 15° and 45 minutes granite it all depends on how well your garage is insulated the thermostat is off but you can adjust and so far it works good

So far haven't used but it is what I was looking for. Compact not heavy should be easy to install. Very happy with so far.
