Unlike conventional heaters that warm one particular spot, LuxHeat radiant floor heating evenly distributes warmth throughout the floor and up into the room, leaving no uncomfortable cold spots.

MdPro Prova Flex-Heat Uncoupling Membrane
Membrane systems combine the flexibility of a loose-lay LuxHeat heating cable with the ease of installation of a mat system.
PROVA FLEX-HEAT can be used for interior residential and commercial tile applications on cement slabs and wood substrates.
Suitable OSB (exterior glue only) substrates for ceramic tile installations include the following:
• 16” o.c. joist spacing, minimum subfloor thickness: 5/8”
• 19.2” o.c. joist spacing, minimum subfloor thickness: 3/4”
• 24” o.c. joist spacing, minimum subfloor thickness: double layer 3/4” + 3/8”

PROVA FLEX-HEAT – Tile Underlayment
Enjoy a warm floor while extending the life of your floor covering.
PROVA FLEX-HEAT is an uncoupling and crack isolation membrane with channels for inserting multiple sizes of low-voltage heating cables. The underlayment consists of a polypropylene sheet with studs for carrying heating cables, channels for managing vapor, and a polypropylene non-woven anchoring fleece for securing the membrane to the substrate.
The fleece layer is secured with a polyolefin-based adhesive, and it provides Shear Stress Control by neutralizing stress caused by substrate movement.
- Can be used with multiple wire sizes of up to 0.2” (5 mm) thick.
- Achieve 3" (7.6 cm) Cable Spacing: Provides most efficient heat distribution as per wire manufacturer specifications
- 0.26" (6.5 mm) thick membrane: Can be used without heating cables for matching up to higher floors to achieve a level transition
- Vapor Management System: Open-air channels beneath the fleece layer provides a path for moisture to dissipate.

LuxHeat Floor Heating Cable
LuxHeat cables can be installed as a primary or secondary heat source, it doesn't have to be below Zero to enjoy a warm floor. Our wide range of loose-lay/ free-form underfloor heating cables offer the ultimate in design flexibility, allowing for custom configurations and easy installations.
Be sure to calculate the correct floor area as heating cables CANNOT be cut or shortened. Heating wires MUST be embedded in a Self-leveling underlayment or Thinset.
- Elements are ETFE insulated and covered by a tough outer jacket, providing the ultimate dialectic and mechanical strength.
- Dual wire technology with aluminum shield minimizes electromagnetic fields (EMF).
- LuxHeat cables provide optimal heat distribution at 12 watts/sqft (3” spacing).

UDG4-4999 Programmable Thermostat + Floor Sensor
The UDG4 Thermostat can be configured for control of Floor Temperature, Room Temperature, or Room Temperature with Floor Temperature Limiting - providing optimal comfort levels while ensuring floor coverings do not exceed recommended temperatures.
The UDG4 offers all the necessary functions to ensure easy installation and temperature control, for every floor type. Accurate and intelligent control reduces running costs and ensures personal comfort.

LuxHeat Monitor
The LuxHeat Monitor is designed to measure the heating cable’s continuity during installation.
If the heating cable is cut or damaged during installation the Monitor will immediately alert the installer by means of a loud alarm and red flashing light. We still recommend an ohms test is carried out before, during and after installation.
If the alarm sounds we suggest contacting a professional to identify the damaged area and make the repair.

Prova Flex-Heat Membrane
PROVA FLEX-HEAT is a lightweight uncoupling membrane with heating cable capabilities. The membrane features deep grooves with locking channels that are suitable for multiple thicknesses of heating cables.
Patented Shear Stress Control system with non-woven anchoring fleece neutralizes stress caused by movement in the substrate.
- Chemical Resistances: Non-rotting and resistant to most chemicals it could be exposed to during normal building constructions.
- Installation Temperature: 41°F to 104°F (5°C to 40°C): This is limited to the tile adhesive specification.

If you’re an experienced floor installer, this is an easy install. I’ve done a thousand tile jobs (20 years ago) but I had never messed with heated flooring. The substrate is super thick, but also super easy to work with, the rest of the mat’ls were also high-quality and the install was easy as pie. The thermostat wiring diagram is crap, but a quick internet search and I was good to go. Also, they said they sent enough for 90 ft/sq, when in installed IAW the instructions, it was more like 125 ft/sq. Luckily, I had planned to only use it on about 75% of the room, so I had plenty of space to use up the wire. All in all, great product, we love it.
