I've currently got this sponge/media filter in my 6 gallon cube. It's powered by USB, and there's no way to adjust the flow, so that's something to keep in mind. I am using the spray bar with it and find that it works well to not overpower my entire cube.Assembly took a little bit of time. There's a spare filter in the base, so you'll need to pull that out first. There's 2 different mechanisms to mount this: 1, suction cup mount or 2, rimless bracket mount.Because my cube is about 12" tall, and I've got about an inch and a half of substrate, I couldn't use the bracket as you can only shorten it so much. So I ended doing a suction cup on the base, and bracket on the top.For the size of this filter, it does take up a bit of room in my tank, but I feel like it will work well for me and will hide well after my tall plants grow around it.So far, no issue with any leakage.

Hygger has become my "go to" brand for all things aquarium related. They put out fantastic products, and quality is consistent. The best thing about this little filter is the ability to place it many different ways. I have a small 4 gallon, and even though, I wish it was a tad bit smaller, it allows me to place it how I need to. The waterfall is pleasant sounding, and not disruptive at all. Great for our shrimp tank, as we don't worry they will get sucked into the filter. Love!

Nice simple sponge filter with a few different output options. It's not very strong, it's better just for basic aeration and biofiltration, so it's best use is in a low flow tank or just to complement a higher flow tank with some additional oxygen support.

It's ok. It could use a stronger power head though. I wouldn't use it on a 10gal tank.

While this filter is "small" and intended for 10 gallons or less, I found it to be quite large inside of a 5 gallon tank. The entire piece is submerged so unfortunately it takes up quite a bit of space. It functioned beautifully though. Kept my water clean and produced a nice water flow. If the design was a touch smaller I would have given 5 stars.

This works very well for my 10 gallons tank in my kitchen. I love that it has a chamber for clay media aside from the filter foam. The little shrimpers love to eat the biofilm from the sponge and it keeps the tank nice and clean.

I got this filter for a new 10 gallon tank I'm starting. I seeded the filter in my existing tank, then moved it over to the new aquarium. I really like the different attachments, but my favorite is the rain head. It creates a lot of surface agitation, but not too strong of a flow for my weaker swimmers.Overall I think this is a great filter. I especially like that you don't need a separate air pump. It's also completely silent which is awesome. If this lasts this will be my new favorite sponge filter. The only thing is I wish it had a coarser sponge, but the existing sponge works fine, just requires more frequent cleaning.

Hygger is one of my favorite companies to buy fish filters from. I have had two internal filters that have run for over a year and recently the one went (I switched to a hob to see how the fish liked it but that is besides the point)I think this is one of the nicest - simplistic filters I've seen. The flow is absolutely perfect for a betta (Veiltail) She swims into the current and lets it take her down the tank, and the giant sponge/bio balls allow so much surface area for beneficial bacteria to thrive which will keep her tank looking great for a long while.I love the rain fall attachment (one of the main reasons I got this) - just creates just a nice background noise. The device itself is not noisy at all, it's simple to set up and I'd argue that because of the suction cups being able to pivot - it creates a stronger hold on tanks in the corner than other similar filters. (Don't know if they do that but I'm just saying)
