The equipment is fine, but the company and customer service are, in my opinion, horrible. My experience: I put a hold on my Hydrow membership after an injury (and subsequent surgery & recovery) not realizing that it would auto-start back up 3 months later. A year after, I realized they had resumed billing me, despite no action on my part and not emailing me ANYTHING (funny, they can manage to spam me with email, but not send anything billing related like every other vendor). 13 months later I go to resume my membership and realize I've been billed for 10 extra months while my rower was in storage and I was dealing with the injury. I reach out to their support, and was told that they would work with me to reverse the charges. Thinking all was fine, I didn't really look back. Then realized now (several months later) that they never credited me the $440 for 10 months of zero usage while injured and my Hydrow was in storage (their support rep even noted that there was zero usage). Upon "senior management" reviewing, they say they see no record of me requesting a refund, so it's been denied. Their whole billing system is super opaque, difficult to use, difficult to manage, they send no notifications or reminders of anything... In my opinion, it's bordering on "scam" level of feeling around it. They can build an app and a whole digital system around the rower, but can't manage to just have your billing available to view in your account, or receive ANY emails or invoices for billing? Right. Horrible experience with the company and the lack of fair support.

It's a beautifully made machine but it's not perfect. At this price I expect perfection or close to it. It's attractive, sturdy and a pleasure to use. The rowing scenes are nicely done. It's comfortable and very quiet. I purchased the version that had 30 rowing scenes built into the purchase. I don't believe it's appropriate to ask a customer to plunk down $2,000 on a machine and then milk them for a monthly subscription but that seems to be the trend these days. The description mentioned bluetooth so one would assume that you could play your favorite playlists through the monitor. That is not the case at all. Very disappointed. The music they offer you is pretty awful. The stirrups seem like they were designed by a child. They are truly dumb. They are hard plastic and they fall off my heals with each stroke. When they do they slap against the machine and the noise makes me nuts. And would velcro straps be so much to ask? If I had to do it again I'm not sure I would. All I can do now is make the most of it. When I'm in the zone rowing I'm glad for the quality, but details matter. And take your subscription and shove it. Raise the price a little if need be, but don't rip people off. Give them the whole package. One price.

So far everything is great. Seems like great quality. No need for a subscription. Limited videos but perfect for my needs

This unit is very sturdy and well built. Nice features with a large LED screen. I love working out on it.
