This has saved me from constantly replacing my pool filter. We have hard water, and the pool PH level & chlorine level have been a struggle to keep balanced. This was super easy to hook up, it is very heavy though. I've been able to get away with the same pool filter for months, and I'm not constantly treating the water.

This filter is insanely heavy and that caught me off guard. Flow rate is really great and it'll last for several years. Many, many years in fact.

Many of them were very high end. Some locations still had copper pipes underground. The facts:City water has all kinds of things added into it like phosphates, copper deposits from piping, chlorine, fluoride etc.Eventually they accumulate and start to damage the pools. I'm impressed with this product it really cuts back on maintenence and slows it down from deteriorating.I've had to do expensive treatments on my old accounts and the bigger the more the cost is. Super easy installation I highly recommend.

✅ I wanted the Metaltrap 50,000-Gallon Pre-Filter to address metal content in my spa water, and it has proven effective in removing iron, copper, and manganese, resulting in clearer water. The filter was easy to install, attaching directly to a standard garden hose without any additional tools, and is ideal for large pools like mine. While it performs well, its effectiveness may decrease over time in areas with high metal concentrations, requiring replacements more frequently. Overall, it’s a reliable, high-capacity solution for maintaining pool water quality.

This is a monster! In a good way! Quality water is so important. Being in a rural area and one in which most of the population relies on well water, this filter is your assurance that you are getting the cleanest and highest quality. I have been using it for my spa water changes because I am so particular with keeping that water and my spa in the best condition possible. Long lasting equipment at a great price for what it does. Very convenient!

I ordered this filter specifically for my garden water needs during the dry season. The extensive list of contaminates that it filters out is extremely long, quite a bit longer than any comparable hose or in-line filter I researched, and with the 50,000-gallon expectancy it pays for itself many times over compared to replacing the in-line hose filter every year. As an added bonus, it surprisingly does not filter out calcium, which is something that the plants utilize to a high degree. There is a bit of sticker shock on the original price, but well within a comparable range with other filters of its class and expected life. But as a long-term investment, it pays for itself quite quickly and with a much better efficiency.

I use this big boy as a pre-filter for all of the water that I am using in two different homes. I mainly use rainwater but I have a well as well and this just gets rid of the larger contaminants prior to it getting to the RO section of the homeI am a big fan of it at the moment, as I have a smaller one that filters the water that goes into my natural pond and I haven't had any issues with it yet.My main reason for acquiring these filters is to alleviate the strain on my other inline filters ro units and it does that effectively.Until We Meet Again-Off the Grid Ken

Sadly, my current inline garden hose filter is coming to the end of its useful life (RIP). So, I thought, "Why not replace it with a bigger, fancier filter?" Why, not, indeed. This Hydropure filter is a BEAST, weighing as much as a small child and about two feet long. Supposedly it can filter up to 50,000 gallons of water, which is a lot unless you have a huge pool or spa. Even then, this thing is going to last you a long time. I am just watering plants and filling up water containers. I figure I will be in old folks' home before this filter needs to be replaced. So, what does a filter such as this actually do to improve your water? Well... it can help with bad taste, (but won't help with bad taste in clothing or men.) It gets rid of sulphur odors, but not the ones coming out of your bathroom after Chili Night. A monster inline filter can rid you of chromium, uranium, lead, copper zinc, barium, and other crap that should not be in your water in the first place. I am not sure if it removes prescription drugs, vitamins, and other garbage that has been found in water, but I sure hope so.I have backup water stored in containers. That is why I use a filter. I clean up the water, add some non-toxic stabilizer, and am able to store the water for a long time without getting algae and mold. This filter is going to be a great help. Note: This does not get much, if any of the calcium and total dissolved solids out of your water, If those are an issue, you can always fill up your containers and then use a gravity system with ceramic filters to remove those sediments. If you are lucky enough to have a pool or spa, this is a must-have to keep your water fresher and less toxic.
