Bought as a secondary safety line for tree climbing, have used it as a dog least, harness on a hunting blind, towing a motorcycle in tandem to a gas station, makeshift swing during a camping trip. works great.

Took a whole lot of pressure off of my lower back and arms. I also used a tie off line to be safe but I trusted the strength of this harness when leaning back. I'm 52 and 250 lbs. I hung 4 stands with 6 climbing sticks in each tree in 1 day. I was comfortable relying on this harness and somehow handled it all. Helps free up both arms when you need them the most. It works exactly as described. Follow instructions and be safe no matter what age you are. This is the ticket and I highly recommend for quality and price.

I use these in conjunction with my hunting harness and climbing ladders to allow me to trim branches and mount my tree seats to set up my hunting stands in trees. Well made strap and metal clips, works well for me. A must have for safe tree climbing and work.

I use these to install climbing sticks and tree stands . It's very sturdy and easy to adjust. My harness has a place to hook these to and it works out well. Do yourself a favor and dont use rope or anything like that. This is the thing to have if you hang treestands

Easy to adjust and does not slip and has already saved my rear end once lol . I use it for hanging deer stands and it works perfect the carabiners are great with the locking mechanism you don't have to worry about catching on something and it disconnecting. With it working without a hitch and the price I highly recommend it. I've used it 6 times and it doesn't show any signs of wear so it is holding up pretty good.

This is a good tree climbing strap. I paid $18 for mine. I would not hesitate to buy it again, especially if it came with the same carabiners I got (which were not what I saw in the product photo here). The only thing HSS could do to improve this strap would be to add a web-belt loop to the slot in the buckle, which would make expanding the belt length easier. Despite that minor shortcoming, I gave them 5 stars because they excelled in so many areas. My strap (including the Carabiners) when fully extended is 100", and is basically made out of car seat-belt material, which I doubt would hold up that well under the abrasion stress of professional / daily use, but for occasional use I would say this is an excellent deal. The buckle is well made, holds securely, and is easy enough to adjust. The total length of this strap, allowing for a bit of tail to grab to facilitate adjustment, should be more than adequate to go around a 24" diameter tree. All the stitching to secure the ends of the web-strap parts are in a diamond pattern, and look to be of excellent quality. The two (one on each end) Modified-D Steel Carabiners with an Auto-Lock Gate & Locking Sleeve that I got are superior in quality. A HSS rep. in the questions area here states these are rated at Another huge plus for this product is that they hammer Safety into you like a pile driver. A Safety Education DVD is included with this strap that covers all the safety aspects of using this strap for its intended purpose (setting tree stands for hunting). I used it for a different application, but I really appreciated watching the Safety DVD supplied by "Hunter Safety System". In a situation like this you can never be too safe, or too careful, and they remind you of that constantly, and in a very tasteful way. I like that they care about their customers.I purchased this climbing strap to use with a Protecta AB17520 Fall Protection Harness. I need to do some high pruning, and take down several large trees on my lot (up to 18" diameter and 40' tall). I did my homework and decided to try and do it myself. I've worked construction, so I'm no stranger to safety. This kind of arborist work is in a class of its own though, and you better be prepared, and be protected. I started with my largest tree, and felt very secure with this strap. I bought a second strap from another manufacturer so I could leap-frog up the tree (I used the branch stumps for steps, rather than use climbing spikes), and while that second strap was OK, this one is far superior, especially for the carabiners. The easy to operate carabiner gate and easy-spin locking sleeve was hugely appreciated, as I had to constantly clip and unclip as I went up and down the tree, and once they were secured, they stayed there.used with a...===

Tried this for the first time in the woods and I can honestly say that I was able to hang my stand using both hands (remember, use a harness as well) with out fear of falling. The strap is a high-quality strap and easy to manipulate around just about any sized diameter tree (within reason, of course). My only wish for this strap would be for the carabiner to have some type of rubber or plastic coating on it to reduce the noise when climbing. Other than that, for convenience and safety, it is a worthwhile purchase and a must have when hanging stands.

This is a must for any hunter hanging lock-ons! I hunted many years before I got one of these and I feel like an idiot for not useing one from the start. I have cut the hanging time of my sets in half and have a real sense of saftey while wear this strap.Do yourself a favor and get one of these. If you're on the fence about wether or not you need one just do a google search and see how many hunters are hurt and killed each season by falling while climbing to hang their stands! This thing is so cheap it doesn't make sense not to have one.
