This sprinkler is so good that I bought two of them even though I only need one because I know my husband will probably whack it again when he mows the lawn. We’re getting old and we’re blind as bats. May need to by extra next year lol

It works pretty well.I opted to purchase this product from Amazon despite its slightly higher price compared to other websites. The quick delivery and free shipping made it a more favorable option, especially when ordering small quantities. I accidentally damaged one while mowing the lawn, but the simple screw-on, screw-off design made it easy to replace without much hassle. The quality is excellent, so I'm quite satisfied with my purchase.

Being new to sprinkler head replacements, I didn't realize that 4" refers to the height of the sprinkler that comes out of this, not the total height of this head. This head measures more like 6" and was way too long for the 4" deep hole left in my lawn after the other head broke. It screwed in very easily, but then sat 2 or so inches above the lawn, so was promptly returned. I'm sure it would have otherwise worked just fine.

We were doing some gardening and saw that someone had inadvertently smashed one of our pop up sprinkler hears with a shovel. In the past, we had our sprinkler guys fix the heads at the start of the season when they were turning the system on. Well, we smashed this one after they left and didn’t want to pay for another service call.I ordered up this head, watched a video online, and replaced the head in under 10 minutes. It is incredibly simple. Just dig around the head, unscrew the old one, screw in the new one, and backfill the dirt.Adjustments on the head are also very simple. Change the direction by just turning the head and change the spread with a small screw driver.I will be confidently replacing my own heads in the future and buying a nice dinner with the money I save by doing it myself.

When I bought my house, the system had about half these Hunter Pro-Spray pop-up heads and the rest were from Rain Bird. I found these to be easier to adjust and more robust, so I have been replacing the non-matching ones as they fail. I’m also fairly sure these Hunter heads were installed with the system when the house was built, meaning these are all 15 years old and the others are newer.Notable very long term experience:- In very sunny exposed locations the white rubber piece will get hard and they leak a little around that (when the sprinklers are on some water will come out); I’d estimate 4 had this out of roughly 40 heads. You probably wouldn’t notice this if you don’t really watch them run. Considering how inexpensive they are and how easy the internals are to swap, it’s no big deal.- They’re very durable even in exposed locations. I haven’t seen one get brittle.- One was damaged by tree roots that crushed it from both sides, deforming the body slightly so it didn’t go back down properly.- I’ve had two that for some reason didn’t ratchet anymore.- Even those with light damage from mowers and string trimmers have still functioned. I usually find the damage a year or more later when correcting nozzle adjustments. The nozzles these come with are impressively long range and easy to adjust for throw, but the screw on top will turn the throw adjustment instead of reducing output unless you awkwardly hold the throw adjustment and turn the screw at the same time. I use nozzles from another brand as a result.
