There is no way to calibrate this from the factory, the port that says calibration has nothing underneath it, i would expect at least 1 or 2 pots for offset and gain. Returned due to this defect, would not recomend.

Clearly this is a Knock-off of one of major makers but HEY, who cares. It WORKS.The cal certificate has no traceability data, so if you need that, you'll have to send it out for Cal.However I compared it to our traceable calibrated equipment and so far it's On Parr.So overall, for the price (about 1/4 of comparable), it's definitely a good buy!!!Also, there's No Battery in this unit, so must be plugged in to use and the Power Cord is VERY SHORT!!! (like 3Ft at best)

Works well in our lab for accurately recording/calibrating torque settings of equipment.

“0” star since their explanation on website is wrong. They mentioned it has NIST traceable certification so we paid $120 more than same equipment from different seller, but it has same sheet from manufacturer, just spec. sheet, no NIST traceable calibration record.I couldn’t make this comment on the amazon website since I don’t have amazon account for this purchasing, but if you can, please copy and paste. With best regards,

This Torque meter seems well built comes with a power adapter but also has a built in battery. My main issue with the tester is that it is made to work only in the tightening direction. I'm sure that is the main use for most people but I would like to now my loosening torque as well. A negative number will display if turning counter clockwise but the threaded bolt that attaches the screwdriver attachment to the tester will back out if much force is applied in that direction. Since it is not stated that loosening torque testing is supported I would not think it is meant to be. After all who leaves out a feature in the description? Another beef I have but maybe should have seen it coming was the certificate of calibration. I admit it was a selling point but it is also in Chinese. I do not think my company is going to stand behind this certificate no questions asked.
