Used to repair leaking or weeping cylinder seals. Replacement hydraulic seal kit fits for Seastar pivot / front mount hydraulic steering cylinders on outboard motors.

bought these a couple of years ago. they have been leaking since about 2 months after installationSmall leak at first) . the OEM ones lasted 20 years. PS i also replaced the shaft with a brand new one so pitting and rust issues are not the cause of the failure.. they install well, worked ok for a couple of months and then>>>> leak. used the boat this weekend and had to refill the helm twice so i could use the boat. couldnt remember exactly when and what. went back to my history and found them. this part is too critical and takes too much time to install junk. spend the money and do it right with OEM

These are either very poor quality or they aren't made for the HC5345 steering cylinders as advertised. They slid on easily so I was skeptical but continued installing them. I then took the time and money to bleed the whole system and it went well. But, when I went out the next day, the seals were leaking and the engines no longer turned together. I would spend the money and buy OEM if I were you. I can't return these as I bought them months before I actually installed them...my loss.

I carefully installed both seals after steering components were cleaned. Purged and bled both lines and cylinders correctly. The port side seal leaks when the steering wheel is turned left. Main steering rod is clean w no burrs or scratches. Starboard seal works fine w out any leaks. I should've bought factory parts instead. Very disappointed with the quality of the seals.

When I first installed it the seal had worked. After 2 to 3 weeks I noticed it started to drip from one side of the shaft 1 month later and the one side has completely failed and is leaking much worse than it has ever leaked before. This product is inferior and I would not recommend it. After reading many similar reviews after purchase i feel regret. I would like a refund please.
