This expensive scanner broke after less than a year of use. When working, it was slow anyways and the application was frustrating to work with. Now that its broken, but in warranty, I'm getting the wonderful experience of having to fight tooth-and-nail to get HP to honor the warranty and fix it. Will never be purchasing from HP again.

I think the feature that numbers the scanned files is unnecessary and cannot be turned off.

I'm just a one-man band consulting firm but I find a good scanner to be indispensable. For years I had used an HP all-in-one (printer/scanner/fax), but the scanner was the only feature I used and that finally gave out. I was reluctant to order a replacement but I am glad I got this one. It is worth every penny. Excellent scans, and quickly, with a reliable multi-page feeder. Just a nice piece of work.

Easy to setup, appropriate footprint, ADF is fast and reliably picks up one page at a time, and scan quality is excellent. Will recommend to others. Cannot comment on tech support as I have not required their help.

This scanner is pretty good for home use. It is good for paper documents, but it can't do 35mm color slides. The settings are straight forward.

HP ScanJet Pro 2600 f1 - Setup is no brainer. But instructions to operate were vague and were for a more expensive model with a built in screen. I tried everything and couldn't get it to work. Then out of desperation I downloaded the software to my PC hoping that it would work even though that isn't what I had in mind when I bought it. PC software is very straightforward and the scanner worked. Scans are clean and crisp. Colors are a bit faded at 300 but at the highest (and slowest) setting the scans are identical to the original. I'm happy with the purchase. I just wish the instructions were written for the model that I bought.
