Unfortunately this product has issues in it's computer processing.Bought for my daughter, a experienced hoverboard rider. She was so excited to get a new board, but quickly became concerned with the board as it started beeping at her and would not ride correctly. We figured it needed to charge, but this made no difference. After just a few mins of riding, the board goes into a warning cycle, in which it keeps non-stop & becomes basically inoperable.I am gonna guess the self balancing has a bug, bad programming, or a cheap circuit board processor that malfunctions after (as I said prior) just a few mins of riding.Seems like it could be a good product, just has that major flaws. I would not recommend this product

I love the size and appearance but mine had battery problems. Right out of the box the battery shows to be fully charged when you plug it in but you can't go by that. You have to leave the charger plugged in until the red light on the charger itself turns green. Then it works great but the battery indicator doesn't work well. I'm about 5'-9" and 165 lbs. I probably rode mine 2 miles tops and then the battery indicator on the board started flashing as it shuts down completely which is dangerous. When the board was shutting down the flashing battery indicator still showed a green fully charged battery. You can turn it off then back on again and it'll go a little farther before doing the same thing. The indicator never showed the battery reducing in charge. I recharged it one more time to make sure and it did the same thing after not much ride time at all. Takes about 5 hours to charge. The advertised distance per charge was way off on mine. Another negative thing to note is the wheels aren't true. If you're on a perfectly smooth surface you can feel consistent bumping because they're not perfectly round. It's a shame because it's a great looking hoverboard.

This hoverboard was a gift for my 8 year old Christmas 2022. When it works, it is a great hoverboard with excellent features and operability. This quickly became my son's favorite toy. He loved it. It would be a 5 star review if the story stopped here. Unfortunately, by March (so, just over 3 months later) the board started to malfunction. Basically, the sensor in one of the footpads still thinks he's on the board even after he steps off - which then doesn't allow it to turn off correctly and sometimes the board will even continue to move/stutter/spin etc. First issue: Good luck talking to a customer service human being at Hover-1. While I could find a couple numbers to call, they all go straight to voicemail that then refers you to their website. It would appear that the only way to reach their customer service is to submit a ticket on their website (which I did). I will say they did respond to the ticket within only a couple of days, but only to let me know that the board was out of their 90 day warranty, and that "Hover-1 does not provide out of warranty services." So basically this is on me, as I should have known at purchase that a mere 90 day warranty is a major red flag. If a company produces a quality product, why warranty for only 90 days? So now I am off to find a new hoverboard for my son, which will not be another Hover-1.

The Hover-1 Ranger Pro Electric Hoverboard Is an easy and efficient way to get around with the cost of gas prices sky rocketing. It’s simple and easy to charge to just go about your business. It’s sturdy and easy to use.

We own a couple of Hover boards in our house, and even have another Hover-1 that’s a different model. We actually really like the other Hover-1 that we have! My kids all ride around on there hoverboards everywhere and the other Hover-1 model we have is the one they tend to fight over who gets to ride it. So when this Hover-1 Ranger Pro Elecric Hoverboard became available I figured I would get it so there would be no more screaming matches between the two older kids about the hoverboards.Now it’s not that this particular hoverboard is bad or anything like that, it’s just not what I was expecting considering the price point. Especially considering the quality and price of the other one we have from the same brand, which was half of the price of this one retail. This one does work perfectly fine and is easy to ride as well. But unless you can get it for under $175 I would pass on it.

Product would not work. I hit power button but it did nothing, it wouldn't turn on/off. Hoverboard would light up but would not move. After letting battery completely drain and then completing full charge cycle, I hit the power button and device turned on and now works great. Hopefully it stays that way.
