Very pleased with this CD player. I've missed playing my CDs since my bookshelf player stopped working. I'm no 'tech' wiz, but I got this working without any problems. As of this writing, I'd definitely recommend this small/portable CD player.

Bought this for my son’s 13th birthday. He found our old CD collection recently and has been asking for his own CDs, amassing quite a collection. His old Jansen CD player/boombox is overworked and outdated. And he was missing the Bluetooth functionality to be able to listen to CDs in his room without disturbing other people. This works a treat. Connectivity to his wireless ear buds and portable speakers is great, although the sound quality on this device is surprisingly good for the price and size of it. I love that you can rip CDs to a TF card- while we haven’t tried it yet, it was a surprise feature that I’m pretty excited about. It looks sleek, the remote works well, it’s easy to load/unload.One downside is that the range of colors is more limited than expected. Can’t get just red or pink by itself - and my son really would love it to glow red. But oh well, that’s a minor thing. The other thing is the plug- i didn’t realize it would be just USB-A only with no wall adapter (my fault for not reading but still kind of annoying)…so I did buy an surge protector extension card that has USB-A ports on it and that worked well. Just something to note.

The RGB LEDs are fun to watch in this vertical design, but the sound quality is only average. The on board amplifier is weak if you use the line-out. When I turn up line-out volume the built-in amp distorts. Also, if you charge the player from the USB-C port while listening to your music, there is a high pitch sound that is continuously present. The only way to stop it is to pull out the charging cable while you are playing a CD. I have not tried the optical out yet. I am hoping that it will not have the same issue. be aware this is a great toy, and it plays CD, but it is nowhere close in sound quality to a home audio component CD player.
