So I ordered this product based on the description. It was to replace an old one from a different brand. Well, my plumber came out and when it came time to put it in, it would not fit! This pump does not have three-quarter inch national pipe thread! It has three-quarter inch British standard pipe thread. National pipe thread is tapered, and BSP is a straight thread. Tapered threads are self-sealing and do not need or accommodate a washer. The fact that these come with sealing washers are a dead giveaway. BSP coincidentally is 18 thread per inch just like three-quarter inch NPT, but that’s the only commonality. Again, NPT is tapered and has a 60° thread cut angle with flat tops and valleys. BSP is 55° with rounded tops and valleys. Why does that matter? Because even if BSP was tapered, it would never seal! When I wrote the company about this, they told me I was wrong. When I insisted and found on THEIR website (buried deep in the manufacturers description) that it was in fact BSP, they didn’t even apologize to me. The expense of having a plumber come out twice is much more than the cost of this pump! It's even in the Q&A section, but hidden if you don't click on the question!

I’ll be honest with you, if this had a normal NPT fitting this would be a much shorter review. However, given that this pump has a short BSP fitting it made getting a leak free fit very difficult. I ended up needing to purchase multiple additional fittings (BSP to NPT adapter, 3/4x3/4 female NPT & 3/4 NPT to push connect braided) to make it work. Make sure you are careful and use plenty of teflon tape and/or pipe dope. Ensure all rubber gaskets are not over tightened. And if you have enough patience, you can eventually make this work without a leak. Once I finally got a leak-free fit, the pump itself works great. I have the pump connected to a WiFi plug and set it to turn on for 5 min every half hour. It is very quiet and seems sturdy. Time will tell, but after I got through the process of getting a good fit it seems to be a good value.

I needed an undersink hot water recirculation pump, not for instant hot water, but for freeze protection of some inaccessible water lines. The pump had to be "dumb" so an external temperature control switch could control it and circulate hot water back down the cold water line as needed. The pump is quiet, plenty powerful, and the price was right. The only two issues I ran into:1. One of the two units I ordered was missing the accessories, but a quick return solved that. (With proper return comments so it doesn't get shipped back out to someone else.....)2. I didn't realize there wasn't a backflow check valve in the pump. Adding an external one fixed that. Not the products fault.

Installed this pump on the cold side of water heater as a recirculating pump and last one day, it over heated overnight crating a fire hazard and melt the electrical box/switch. I also couldn't find instructions anywhere on how the Auto mode works or even how to program Auto mode.Well this pump is absolutely junk.

I like the stainless construction. I am using it as a circ pump from my hot water tank across a heat exchanger to heat my hottub. When the hot tub calls for heat, this turns on to circ hot water from my hot water tank.
