This works great for siphoning fuel or water without the need to suck on the hose.

I use it all the time. It works great . Just elevate your gas can above where you want the gas to flow. Shove it in the gas can until it builds up in the line over the highest point and it will begin to flow. You can hear the glass valve clicking meaning it is sucking out gas. It will empty a 5 gallon can in 3 minutes or less. To stop the flow just pull it out of the gas can. No batteries. No cost to use. You can't beat it. 1/2 inch works for cars. 3/4 is to large for a normal gas tank. Works best in warm weather where you can get it right on the bottom of the gas can but works year round. Will work best on a full gas can. A partial filled can is harder to get it primed but not impossible to do.

Found this great as a way for siphoning my baby’s bath following use. Trimmed the hose to a shorter length with a Stanley knife. Works very effectively, is easy to clean, and packs up small.

Drain hose works surprisingly well just a few shakes and the hot tub was drained in 30 minutes...good flow! Suggest you weigh the suction end down with a rock or hand weight to keep it securely in the low spot to get every drop!

I fill my boat periodically from 5-gallon gas jugs and because the boat tank is 43 gallons, I needed a better way to transfer gas from the jugs to the boat. I'd been using a funnel and pouring gas from the jug into the funnel (slowly and carefully). I hated having to lift and hold the full jugs while pouring gas. I came across this product and it works great. I set the jug on my dock (the boat fill port is a little lower), place the open end into the boat fill port and the other end into the gas jug. WIth a few "up/down" pumps of the tube, gas starts lowing from the jug to the boat tank. It takes a few minutes to transfer 5-gallons from the jug to the boat which is less time than trying to pour it from the jug. I leave the end in the boat fill port and move the other end to the next gas jug which results in not a drop of spillage. Great product. I've been using the same one for 3 years. I store it in a dark shed which keeps the clear tube from sun discoloration.

My first attempt at using this was on a cold dark night. I do not recommend it.I do recommend this syphon though. I'm using it on diesel and it works very well once you figure out the ins and outs. The PVC hose that comes with it likes to stay coiled. I ended up cutting mine down to about 5 feet as the rest was just in the way most of the time. It definitely prefers a warmer ambient temp for unfurling, otherwise you get kinks if you try to straighten enough for a nice arc up and down into receiving tank.I may try a hose with a metal spring liner/shae keeper next time.Otherwise this thing works GREAT. Once you figure out the priming procedure it just flows beautifully. It seems to work best if you can get a straight up and down shot at the fluid you're trying to syphon. my attempts from angles haven't been successful. This is another problem with that stiff curly hose as it makes it very difficult to get a straight shot at the reservoir when pumping it up and down.Overall easily worth the money. Other syphon contraptions I've used don't seem to hold up to fuel and other oil products. Either a gasket/o-ring gives out or the plastic pump housing or bladder or whatever fails prematurely. The simplicity of this one gives me a lot of confidence.

I needed to get some old gas out of my old truck. Tried working with my hose but that stuff is for the young. I'm an old guy and my mouth is too precious to waste sucking gas varnish. So out comes my new toy, the HORUSDY Gas Siphon 6FT Multi-Purpose Super Easy Siphon Pump,1/2" Valve Virgin Grade Tubing Safe (white) . Woohoo!-Turns out the technology prolly came from the Ming Dynasty in Chiner when they had to get gas out of their buggies. So simple... we all missed it. But Horusdy didn't. It's a ball in that little brass fitting on the end. When you push the thing down liquid enters past the ball. When you pull, the ball plops to the bottom sealing the hose.-Long story short put the brass end in the liquid. Put the other end into your catch. No sucking or thumbing needed. Just give a few vigorous shakes and out comes good pure liquid like alchemy magic. In my case gosh knows how old furniture varnish that used to be gasoline. Wow! The darn thing works and I wished I hadda thought of it. Crazy applied Newtonian physics. Gravity. Who knew?-Like I said I'm an old guy so I'll never get my money back out of the thing. It's the BEST value for younguns. Prolly last a lifetime. A worthwhile tool you'll be glad you have some day. Get it. You'll thank me!
