I needed a SIMPLE, PRACTICAL, RELIABLE, LOCK BOX...No Wi-Fi, cell-phone app, fingerprint, eye-scan, voice recognition, magic wand, B.S.Besides paying extra for all of that, IT WILL FAIL YOU WHEN YOU NEED IT THE MOST.I don't trust my YMCA's plastic lockers. Don't want someone braking in and using my "device" to do harm to others. --So it stays locked in the car for the duration of my workout.I would not recommend it for long-term storage; only when needed for something like the gym or government/school building business.

Hornady quality in a straightforward key lock steel gun box.Needed simplicity for a senior to secure an old pistol. Uses a barrel style round key, and comes with a spare key. Very heavy steel, nicely padded inside, inexpensive solution. Comes with a cable for those who need it.

Già il vedermi arrivare un prodotto a marchio Hornady (uno dei piu famosi produttori al mondo di buffetteria ed accessori per caccia e tiro) mi ha molto stupito: mi aspettavo una cineseria e mi arriva questo signor prodotto, poi il venditore è stato gentilissimo e molto professionale, si è informato sul modello di pistola in mio possesso e mi ha consigliato il modello di cassaforte più grande, al medesimo prezzo. If you are buying this because you have to lock your firearm up in your vehicle because you can't take it in somewhere, but that place is relatively secure or has surveillance this meets the criteria of being both a locked container and secured to the vehicle. That said its not going to stop anybody who is doing anything other than just grabbing it. The cable can be defeated with any appropriate cutter and the box itself is able to be pride open just as fast if not faster. I'm not the lock picking lawyer but I was able to open it without a key faster than with a key. The key is non-retaining so when you flop the lid open your keys generally go flying into whatever area you have the box or you have to remember to pull them out in between opening and closing. The reason this isn't getting a much worse review is because I kind of knew what this was going into it and it does deliver what it promises. If there is a need to secure a firearm in a vehicle, under other circumstances, there are much more expensive and secure methods. This is not pretending to be any of those more secure methods. It simply meets the criteria of locked and connected to the vehicle for very little money.

Sturdy and fits under the seat of my car. Perfect for storing my gun when I can't take it inside with me. Only issue, the lock is kind of weird. The key hole is round but there is no indicator of where the top is so you may find yourself fumbling around trying to get the key in correctly. Not good if you need to access your gun quickly. Also, the lock does not hold the key when in the unlocked position so if you leave the keys in when you open the lid they fall between the seats. Nether of these are much of an issue now that I am used to how it functions but they were a real pain the first several times using the safe.

The lockbox is fairly hefty and very sturdy. The key opening is a bit tight to get the key in, but works perfectly otherwise. The steel cable is easy to install, find a place you can tether the cable to by running the end through the loop then place the end inside the case and close it. It fits my .357 quite well with some extra space so it's not rubbing on the sides. The foam inside is quite stiff, that does make it a little harder to close since you have to hold down the lid to compress the foam around a firearm, once it's closed though you can be certain your firearm will not move at all. I would like the steel cable to be a little longer, but that's a small detail and isn't really a concern.

Queste cassaforti sono abbastanza inaffidabili. Ne avevo una a combinazione e si è rotta la combinazione, ora ho preso questa a chiave e una delle due chiavi è deformata e non gira. Non ho tempo (ne la voglia) di fare il reso e quindi me la tengo così. Peccato che per questo prezzo non ci sia un'alternativa valida.

Excelente caja de seguridad para armas y/o navajas, sobre todo para los niños. hace un alto total para niños chismosos y hace que tengas seguridad a ti mismo y confianza para que no agarren cosas que no.

So far, it's exactly as you would expect it to be. It's a thick gauge metal box that locks and it even has egg foam padding the inside! Out of the box it appears to be able to do exactly what I intend it to do. My intended use is a means of securing a firearm in my vehicle when i don't necessarily want to physically carry. There was a small scratch in the paint right out of the box (pictured). For me personally I couldn't care less, but I know some of y'all love showing off how pretty your purchased items are so take that into account when considering purchasing a firearm lock box that's under $40. The box itself looks and feels sturdy enough. the hinge seems solid and there is no spring/assist to it which is what I prefer. There is a gap in the seam which could potentially be used to assist in prying the box open but it will most likely require the time and effort needed to physically bend out the sides of the box and or bend the locking bar to be able to acquire the goods inside. The keyed lock feels flimsy but so for its worked every time I've desired to make entry into the box. I like that the security cable can be fashioned to either side of the box and it further assists in keeping honest people honest. The room inside the box is plentiful. As seen it can fit a full size weapon with an attached light (yes it's a cheap light, sue me) and a multitude magazines. It even fits my issued weapon, off duty holster, "child" lock and a spare magazine with no issues.Overall I'm very pleased. Will update if necessary.
