Do not waste your money on the Hoover ONEPWR cordless vacuum. I bought one and it did such a great job, I bought another one for the upstairs. Unfortunately, this vacuum is a money pit. In addition to the battery that came with each vacuum, I have now purchased 3 replacement batteries. Each one lasted maybe 3 or 4 months, then the red flashing light of doom! These batteries are ridiculously expensive...$60+....and they are clearly defective. I had a total of 5 battereies and now I'm down to just 1 battery which must be shared between the two vacuums. I absolutely will NOT buy another battery. When this one dies....as it most surely will.....that will be the end of it for me. I have been a loyal Hoover customer...back in the day of the Windtunnel vacuum...I've got the Hoover carpet steamer, the Hoover hard surface floor scrubber....all of them have worked well and lasted forever. But this one? The vacuum is great....but you can expect to spend the price of the vacuum over and over again with the supply of lithium batteries you'll need to buy just to power it up. Look elsewhere. The battery I just bought in March 2023 is already dead....and it's just July 5, 2023. $60 down the drain. Many many many reviewers have posted the battery problem, but nothing has been done to correct this seriously defective battery problem.

After following instructions and left it for overnight charging. It never got charged and got 1st and 3rd light on the display meaning battery error according to the internet. I requested a replacement but I have to go through the seller by e-mail as Amazon don't have the power to replace that item. Would not recommend. If I get my replacement this review might change. After reading reviews I feel like those batteries are like a Russian roulette game.

The batteries I got from the initial purchase of the vacuum got an error for overheating and they both stopped working. It was...annoying and I was angry but I already had the vacuum so I had to buy this extra battery out of pocket.It hasn't crapped yet and it is working fine.However, it is way heavier and makes it harder to use the vacuum in some areas where you would be carrying it by hand for some duration.

I might rate this item higher if not for the fact that I had to purchase one to replace the original battery that had come with the vacuum that I wanted this battery for. That battery lasted a few years at best. It worked well enough when I was able to use it, but about a year or two of use was all that I got before the battery just wouldn't charge again, leaving me with a useless vacuum cleaner and a need that continued for a vacuum that serviced my needs.This battery is supposed to be a bit heavier duty and longer lasting than that the battery that originally came with the vacuum cleaner. From what I've been able to tell so far this battery definitely lasts considerably longer than the original it replaced. As in I can run the vacuum cleaner much longer and do much more cleaning with it than I could before putting in this battery.I hope to see at least two to three years of regular life out of this battery before I might have to replace it. I would love to and will pick up a second one just so I have a pair that I can swap between while cleaning around the home. That should cover things nicely in my home.
