Material is thin, but it works for small spills and catching oil/chemical drips. Good budget absorbent mats.

I dont generally write negative reviews but this is SO BAD that i feel its my duty to other shoppers to warn them. There is another brand w pig in the name that i usually buy. They upped their price fora short time quadruple the usual price! I thought "How different can these be? I'll just try another brand and save money!" I made a mistake. These are advertised as absorbent pads for both oil and water based liquids. They are very very thin. Like 3 sheets of office printer paper. They are oddly shiny and slippery. So be careful if you need to put them on the floor! You can seriously slip and fall. They behave so oddly. When you put water on them it absorbs into a few spots randomly on the pad maybe the area equivalent to 2-3 quarters. The entire rest of the pad acts like its made of plastic! Water rolls right off. It literally REPELS the water. The tiny areas that do absorb absorb great! I dont understand how it works the way it does. It must be made of chopped up bits of diapers, both the absorbent inner part and the water blocking plastic outsides. There is literally nothing these are useful for. I tried putting them under an area that was under a leaking peice of equipment while it was being fixed thinking at least it can catch the droplets and contain the mess. No! They slip all over the place and i watched water BOUNCE off of them and scatter much further around than if id just let them fall to the floor. I feel bad fir buying these as they cant be used for anything and i guess im going to throw them out. Im afraid to compost them or even line a rabbit hutch w them as im not sure what chemicals are in them. I certainly wouldn't burn them as im afraid to poison myself and my neighbors air. So please dont buy these.

These really do work incredibly well and are very, very absorbent. They also allow for more rapid drying of any spills.

They work "ok" but since they absorb water as well, they're not as useful as the tried and true white fuzzy type. They should be fine used on the ground or floor not in water.
