Works without a problem so far. Easy to fill, easy to clean, can feel the difference in the air. All 3 modes are perfect with the lowest setting being barely audible. Just note that with most evaporative humidifiers, the operating cost > ultrasonic humidifiers. There is a UV light inside but it doesn't help all that much since the wicking filters mold up about 1.5 week. Cleaning the humidifier and filter itself does help to prolong the life. This is honestly more preferable than using ultrasonic humidifiers where distilled water is recommended which requires constantly buying supplies for that.

I bought this humidifier to replace one (different brand) that had died - and while I loved the old one, it was discontinued and replaced with a model that only had high and low and no medium. I have used this one for about a month now and am so much happier with it than I was with the old one! First of all, it does have the medium setting - but I find that even on high, it is very quiet - quieter than the old one. It runs on high all the time and we are getting better humidity as evidenced by our skin and feeling less "dry" in the morning. It is easier to clean as well - I clean it every week and rinse the filter, and the filter is still going strong. The water container is much easier to refill than the old one as it can sit on its end - the old one had a curved surface that required you to hold on to it when filling and spilled easily. It holds a little less water, and we have to refill it in the morning and before bed as it won't go for 24 hours - but it's so much easier to handle and provides better humidity, so this is an acceptable trade off! It also does not have any annoying lights on it like our old one did - we had to tape cardboard over them as they were way too bright at night. Very happy with this purchase!

Honeywell warranty not available in India on humidfier. The seller is a real fraud, i dont think the items imported are used ones...The humidifer stoped working within 5-6 nights only... seller took it from me for refund, its been more than 20 days and no call/reund from seller... its really disheartening, after buying the premium product i have to face such an experience....The seller is a real fraud... pls dont buy... its a clear recommnedation from my experience.Otherwise, be ready for such an experience. Choice is yours because the money is yours..Anyways the filter turned yellow within 2 days of use (that too after i used only mineral water).

Used this for my bedroom and I really like it because it's not a warm air humidifier as I often get too hot whilst sleeping. Nice and quiet on the low setting for sleep. Can make the room a little colder feeling from the humidified air in the colder days but I have been waking with clearer breathing since starting to use it. I bought a thermometer/hygrometer as well to keep an eye on the temperature and humification and on the high setting it humidifies the room quite quickly (3.5m sq room)

I bought this a few months ago. At first I didn't like it and was ready to return it. Then I figured out how to use it.This is an evaporative humidifier and works in a completely different was from the ultrasonic humidifiers I had in the past. There is a large, cylindrical filter inside which absorbs the water and then evaporates it into the air with the aid of a fan. The fan is clearly audible but actually works well as a white noise machine. In our bedroom, which is about 25' x 15', we go through about a gallon of water every 12 hours. Here are some pearls about using this unit:-It MUST be on a level surface. At first I had it on a towel over the carpet in our bedroom. This caused the water to be unevenly distributed in the base which in turn led to the filter not being properly moist.-The filter must be wet at all times. In an ideal world this would happen without any effort on the part of the owner, but that is not the case here. Sometimes the top of the filter dries out, resulting in less evaporation/less humidification. The manufacturer (and other users, in reviews) suggest flipping the filter every time the tank is filled. I find that it's sufficient to do it when the tank starts to empty more slowly (i.e., I don't have to fill it as often), which is about every 5-10 tankfuls.-Sometimes the filter gets so dry you have to remove the filter and moisten it under the faucet (this is especially true if the water in the tank runs out. There should be an automatic cut off, but there isn't). It's a bit messy in that you're not supposed to wring out the filter, so it drips all over the place.-The filters discolors from minerals and particulates in the water. This is normal (hey, it IS a filter) and does not interfere with the operation of the unit. One could easily argue that using a humidifier shouldn't require such a long to-do list, and I wouldn't argue the point. Having said that, once you get the hang of it this unit works extremely well, humidifying the air without coating the furniture the was ultrasonics do. I highly recommend it.

This review is based on use over a full winter season of this version of the HCM350 with the internal UV light that is supposed to kill 99% of bacteria, mold, etc.The humidifier was used in a ~130 square foot bedroom during the winter with forced air heating. It was able to effectively raise relative humidity from 20-25% to 40-50%, depending on the speed setting used. We typically had it on the lowest setting for gentle white noise at night; humidity levels averaged in the high thirties to low forties. We live in a hard water area and initially contemplated using distilled water, but at a cost of about $1/gallon and the use of about one gallon per night for the bedroom would quickly exceed the cost of a couple filters. We used tap water and the filter eventually developed a light brown, crusty appearance along its edges, even when flipped daily with each reservoir refilling. This was due to iron and hard water, not due to mould. To prolong filter life, we used two filters during the season on a rotating basis. One in use while the other soaked in a strong white vinegar & water solution until needed. The vinegar solution was effective at removing the hard deposits, but was never able to quite restore the filter to 'like new' appearance (we didn’t try bleach, which might also be effective for those complaining of mould). But this pretty much maintained effectiveness. IIRC, we rotated the filters probably every couple weeks. Eventually the filters lost some structure and were replaced for this winter, but two for a full winter season seemed fairly reasonable. The humidifier was used every night and rarely sat idle longer than 12 hours, therefore can't comment on how the filter would handle being left in a wet but unused state for prolonged periods, which probably isn't ideal. We felt the lack of auto shutoff was not a major problem because it’s effectively just a fan inside an enclosure (though there’s also the UV light, which apparently has a finite lifespan). We did not have any problems with the glued seams of the replacement filters breaking, though we were careful not to put much stress on this area when in the vinegar soak, or while handling during the rinse process. That said, compared to the original filter included with the humidifier, these seemed to be slightly thinner walled.Overall, it works for us and we continue to use it this winter season.

Evaporative humidifier are usually noisy because of its fan... but this one is very quiet (in low fan speed). I'm in Montreal, Canada, and I am for the moment easily able to maintain 40+% humidity on the low fan speed. The filter is still good after a month, but will probably need replacing soon. Its actually used to humidify my condo which is about 700 SF. And evaporative humidifier are much cleaner than the messy ultrasonic ones.Remember that your results may vary. It depends on many factors... including how many showers you take per day and if you cook at home!

Pretty simple design and construction, which is good (the less complex, the easier it should be to maintain). Water tank has a wide mouth and is easy to refill. Most hands won't fit through the mouth to scrubs the inside of the tank, but you can quickly disinfect it with a diluted bleach solution with no scrubbing. UV light is an interesting feature - I'll wait to see how effective it is in the long-run by observing if the plastic exposed to the UV light discolours over time.I live in an area with really hard water so the filter was quick to discolour, but I try to briefly rinse it out between tank refills to help with it.I live in a condo that's just under 600 sq. ft. I bought one unit hoping it'd be enough, and it helped raise my condo's humidity level from 39% to 45%, but it's not steady and will drop from time to time, meaning one of these units isn't enough to keep my condo at a good humidity level. So I'm now buying a second one! Cold Canadian fall and winter seasons really take a toll.I really like that the unit is stylish (compared to other humidifiers out there). It's pretty quiet - my current unit is sitting on my nightstand next to my bed and I can keep the fan on the medium setting with no issue. It is audible on the high setting so I'd avoid that when trying to sleep. The one feature I wish this unit had was auto-shutoff when the tank is empty so that I don't need to worry about it, but I tested running the unit on high for 8 hours straight and there was still ~1/6th of the tank left, so it should be fine to leave on while you're at work if you're out of the home for 9-10 hours.20/10/2018 UPDATE: my one unit is starting to struggle now as the weather gets colder and drier. Even on the high fan setting, it's not able to raise the humidity past 37%. So one unit won't be very effective in a 600 sq. ft. space. Very much hoping the 2nd unit will get the humidity up when it arrives.02/11/2018 UPDATE: with 2 of these units running for a week now (with one always on high and one always on medium), I've been able to maintain 41-44% humidity in my condo. Kind of disappointing to be honest, and I'm worried when the real winter hits in a couple months, these units will be very ineffective. One trick I did pick up to help with reducing the amount of mineral build up and hardness on the filters is to flip the filters to the other side once a day. Since I started doing this, I've noticed the mineral discolouration (from build up) on the filters are noticeably less, and the filters don't feel as hard.

The designers of this humidifier were smart, thoughtful, and realistic.- It is very easy to clean with or without a dishwasher. I feel confident that my humidifier is sanitary.- Your hand can reach into the tank to scrub everything! The handle bit gets a little tricky, but it's not bad at all.- The bottom portion doesn't have any crazy nooks to wash.- The tank handle is easy to grip. I don't feel like I will drop the tank, but if I did, the material seems very durable.- The tank sits upright on its handle easily, and can withstand being filled in a sink with a little bit of slope. The tank rocks a tad, but it seems to balance out well when almost completely full. Good planning, designers!- Filter is super easy to use and replace.- Cat hair buildup in the filter after a week of consistent use is minimal to nonexistent.- Speed settings for the fan are reasonable.- I don't think any of the settings are particularly loud, but I do like a bit of white noise at night.- The humidifier can run for 24+ hours on one tank, high at night and low during the day (San Diego, CA summer humidity levels + combating an AC).- It is rather big, but is fine on the floor next to my bed. It is a sleek design and doesn't look tacky or weird like other humidifiers. I put it on top of a folded hand towel because I have wooden floors, but there have been no leaks so far.- The lack of visible mist takes some getting used to, but the humidifier is definitely working and helping my cold/sore throat. It's kind of amazing other humidifiers (I tried Safety 1st) get away with being hard to fill, hard to carry, and nearly impossible to clean. I'm very glad I accidentally dropped my old one... This humidifier was a big upgrade! Getting a great Amazon Warehouse deal was icing on the cake for me.
