I bought these to make pastries and, since I had so many extras, i made clothespin dolls with my grand girls. I’m sure there’s many other craft uses. They are real wood and sturdy!

J'ai détourné ce produit pour garder les restes de laine bien rangés. Cependant je peux dire qu'elles sont d'une belle qualité.

I use these for making ladylocks. These are the same ones I grew up with as a child for our clothes line.My mom would purchase the same ones for making ladylocks. They are just wood. Good quality, especially if I were using them for a clothes line (which I will have one this year)

Nothing to squeeze. They hold your laundry tight. Easy to remove! They were a little brittle when I first got them, and I broke a few just by using them. So I soaked them in vegetable oil for a couple days, wiped them off, and let them air out. Now they work well and really hold the laundry, even on a windy day.

So I used these for practice as a nail tech. I break it into two pieces and use it as a "finger" to lay my acrylic beads. Breaking them is tough. It's a practical size for me.

I purchased these for craft purposes, but given I line dry all my clothes, I decided to review them for laundry purposes too just because I've seen so many mixed reviews on them. It's true these clothespins are not the high quality thicker ones from the early to mid-1900s, you cannot find those anymore, but the quality is pretty much the same as the ones from the 1970s and 1980s. The package does state that they can not handle more than 2 pounds of weight, so for people complaining that they don't work for jeans or heavy blankets, they are not designed for heavy items. It seems that most people who use these for laundry do not use them in the same way people did back in the early 1900s, back then on heavier laundry items, people would soak the clothespins in warm/hot water before using them to loosen them up so they had less risk of snapping, in the winter months they would add salt to the water they soaked the clothespins in, so the clothespins wouldn't stick to the line. While doing this shortens the life of the clothespins, it does make them work better. That being said, these work great for regular clothes, like T-shirts and work exceptionally well for cloth diapers. The gap in the clothespins is literally identical from clothespins made in the 1980s, perhaps some batches of them may differ, that was my experience. The quality of the wood used now is not as high as back in the 1980s so they probably will not last as long as older ones, but that appears to be the case with all types of wood clothespins now, even the ones with the metal clasp. For craft purposes, these work great for the purpose of making clothespins dolls. As I said above, they are identical in size and shape as those from the 1980s, when it was common-place to make clothespins dolls as craft projects in school. Some of them are a little rough and need a bit of sanding, but for the price I can't complain. The round part on the top of the clothespins isn't perfectly round, it's more oval shape, so if you are wanting perfect clothespin dolls with bigger heads, you need to buy the ones they make especially for craft purposes. But when you can get a quantity of 100 of these for the same price as a much smaller pack of the craft ones, these are a good option, especially since kids often screw some of them up and want to start over.
