Used to replace the factory leaky shift shaft seal on my 2024 FE501s. The factory one's seal wasn't perfect so it was slowly leaking oil.This Honda part is the exact needed dimensions and fit perfectly. Being rubber OD it'll take up any slight imperfection in the bore and seal anyway. Easier to deal with as well. I bought more of these vs the stock metal KTM ones.

old one came out easy and new one goes in rather easy too. I put silicone grease on it before i put it in. Been a month and still no leaks

I used it to replace a seal on a 1984 Honda Magna V65. I had problems locating a seal. This one was not listed for use in the starter, but the gear shifter seal. It looks like it fits both.
