From my wife:Once I roughed them up with the included sandpaper, these cedar balls smelled great! I put them in purses, loose, and used the included saches to hang them in my closet. Look out moths!

I read the reviews that seemed to indicate there was minimal cedar smell to these little balls for the closet. They are not wrong. There is really no odor, even fresh out of the package. it is very disappointing.

NOT sure what I was expecting. VERY little cedar smell. Not what I was expecting. It also came with some sandpaper. Do they want me to sand each tiny ball for a better smell? IF I had more time, I probably would return them

The box of cedar balls contains 100 of them. They are about the size of an acorn for comparison. It is nice that when I opened my box of them, I found there were some sachet bags and a circular piece of coarse sandpaper for refreshing the balls when the aroma fades.Living in a mobile home in the summer with humidity there is a lot of mustiness smell that builds up. And bugs and critters find their way inside far too easily, it seems. Especially the older the home is. So I saw these cedar balls and thought it would be nice if they could help me with two problems at the same time. Being as it is getting along into autumn now, I find bugs and critters looking for winter digs in my home. These work as well as moth balls but with a much nicer scent and they do not leave any marks wherever they are placed, when not using the sachet bags. I have placed some in all my closets, drawers, and any place I think might look inviting for them to hole up for the winter.One thing I have definitely noticed and I'm very happy about is that these cedar balls seem to be keeping the stink bugs out! For the past 6 years or more, my area has had a high population of them invading homes. This year, since I placed the cedar balls, I have only had to deport to the outdoors a total of 4 stink bugs in the past 3 weeks. Other years I was catching and deporting at least half a dozen daily at this time of year. And yes, I see plenty of them outside still. They just are not coming inside like they did other years.I am recommending these cedar balls. They are great not only for moths, but other bugs and critters as well. Along with a pleasant scent added to the area where they are placed. The price if fair too, especially with the included sachet bags and sandpaper!
