Do not use the screws that come in the package. They are soft and will break. The installation was simple once I removed the bad screw and the parts that were left in the wood. Also, I think I put the mount too high. Consider when you will be putting the bike away and having to lift the weight of it on and off the hook. Getting the front tire onto the hook takes a little practice. The package comes with a hook and loop strap to secure the tire to the bike post, so it doesn’t move while I hang it up. Also, consider what direction you will hang the bike. The direction I am hanging my bike in, puts the chain on the outside, which means if the space is narrow, I will get chain grease on myself or my clothes. Minimal hardware and footprint to store a bike.

I requested these as an addition to my family’s bike storage. These mounts included installation hardware and are well constructed. The black coating seems to be durable. We used one of these mounts for an adult mountain bike and the other for a toddler’s balance mountain bike and they work great in both applications, holding them both securely to the wall. I love that they swivel, saving vertical (and walking) space, and because they’re wall mounted, they save floor space, which is a hard feature to beat in my book! I love these and wish I had thought to seek them out years ago!

Easy to install into wall (with a stud finder). Easy to pop bike up onto hook where it stays put. Nice looking hardware and well finished. I dont worry it'll scratch my $1,000+ wheels

The rack arrived as pictured, and from unboxing, it gives the impression of being a high-quality, well-made product. It’s simple yet a great idea—strong, sturdy, with a nice paint finish, and seems fairly easy to set up.However, while the setup is straightforward, the design of the rack itself is not well thought out., at all, with the way it works you'd need like 5 other people to help you place the bike, it'd be ok if it's a rack to store a bike for months but if it's a daily rack and un-rack deal you have going on with your bike this thing's awful!Racking your bike on it is almost impossible. The hook is overly pronounced, making it difficult to hook onto the rim. You must position the bike perfectly; otherwise, it won't fit. If you set the rack height so that the rear wheel is off the ground, be prepared to lift the bike with one hand while struggling with the hook and fighting the front wheel wanting to spin and tun, Unless you have a lightweight bike or hit the gym daily, this could be quite challenging, and even if you can lift it one handed its likely you'll get dirty in the process.they say they provide "quality screws", nope soft screws are what they give, get good ones, they say: "the protectors keep your wall clean" Nope, during the usual struggle to rack your bike, you won't keep any wall clean. While they may "save you space," they certainly won't save you time or effort. The only solution I found to all the struggle was to lower the top rack so that while I struggle a bit with it (since yes you still will and yes, you'll still dirty yourself and the wall a bit) At least the bottom tire is on the ground, so I don't have to hold the weight of the bike. I just need to balance it a bit while I fit the front rim through the narrow space the hook provides. However, with this method, the bike's front wheel ends up turning after its hooked, which I must admit I prefer over the other struggle I faced. All the hassle could easily be avoided if either the hook was less pronounced or more open for the rim, or if the hook could stay in place. That way, I could use both hands to hold and position the bike easily. Unfortunately, it’s just a hook that flops around, needing for you to support it while you attempt to rack the bike at the same time. This rack could be perfect, but instead, it’s a headache.

This is a simple and easy to install solution for a crowded garage or shed. Personally, I got this for kiddos bikes in the garage and immediately enjoyed the increased floor space. The down side of this type of storage is the effort required to get the bike down and put it back up. I would not recommend these for kids bikes as they are unable to safely bring the bike to a wheely position and hook the front tire. For adult bikes (I just have to install higher) these will work great and serve their purpose well! Zero complaints with the product and highly recommend.

Quality: The brackets are relatively thick, painted steel with a matt finish. Comes with two upper and two lower brackets, four sets of screws and one velcro strap. Mounting the upper bracket to a stud was straight, but the lower bracket required that I added a small piece of 2x4. The upper bracket has mounting holes along the center-line, while the lower bracket's mounting holes did not line up with the stud. That said, one could drill mounting hole along its center line.Functionality: The mounts do an excellent job of holding my bicycle up and out of the way. Depending the the weight of your bike, it may be necessary to have someone assist, as the bike needs to be lifted fairly high. The unit comes with plastic anchors for mounting in sheetrock, but I believe that the weight of a bicycle on the upper bracket requires that it be mounted to a stud. The lower bracket does not bear any weight and will work when mounted in sheetrock.
