Functional but the USB is hard to fit and the fact that you can’t use modes simultaneously is not useful to me. The volume is also very low for the system. I turned up all the way to 32 and it wasn’t loud past the room I was in. The Bluetooth capabilities has to be selected each time and I couldn’t set up radio stations bc the instructions weren’t clear.

This has nice sound, but it does not remember the previous volume or playing setting when you turn it back on. Turn it on after playing MP3 files, it blasts the volume at full power. You have to turn it back down yourself. It would be nice if it remembered to play the MP3 files randomly when you turn it back on, but you have go through the process all over again for it to play the files randomly. Since these players are hard to find that play USB MP3 files randomly, I will keep it. The EQ sound selections also make up for no bass or treble controls.

No, this isn't audiophile territory, but for the coin being asked, you won't find anything that is much better than this well thought out product by Hamlin.It's 15watts per channel, which is more than you will probably use. This is not designed to be a blaster of music. It's made for a small room, or best yet a veranda or porch music system that you can move back and forth as needed. The back of the speakers are simple with a minimum speaker cable inputs. Gauge of the speaker wire appears to be 16awr, and for the watts rating...that's fine.Everything is ready to go, simply hook up the speakers and plug in the base unit and voila....you have a CD player. Hit the 'mode' button and you can flip over to USB. If you have a ton of music on a usb card, you are good to go.But what makes this really shine is that all you need is your phone and the Bluetooth paired up, and you have your entire streaming libraries ready to go. It could not be simpler.Your phone and this Hamlin on BT means thousands and thousands of hours of music and podcasts. Could not possible get easier.It sounds pretty good, The back is 'ported' for a bit of bass extension, but don't expect anything foot stompin' here.This is a nice and very simple way to have access to all of your streaming music. Just plug it into an outlet, and bam...you are done.It played my Beatle White album , and more importantly, a 15 year old ripped CD...no worries.Nice Product.

I cannot find anything to dislike about this system. The sound is pretty good for a system of this size. I call it a bookshelf system but the main part is probably a little deep for many bookshelves. The speakers should fit on most shelves. I like that it has multiple modes for getting music to it. You can use the aux in jack, usb port or bluetooth. Even has an FM antennae attached to it. All you need to provide is two AAA batteries for the remote and you are ready to rock and roll.

This system is great, but it was missing antenna for the FM radio stations. The box clearly stated the antenna was included. I contacted Amazon customer service about the missing item and was told my options were return the item for a refund or replacement. Due to the weight and size of the item, I chose not to do that and purchased a FM antenna.
