Great kit to start with or to add supplies to current gear. All items were good quality

This is an excellent winemaking kit. It includes everything needed for novice winemakers to produce a gallon of wine, along with all the necessary accessories. The kit comes with recipes, and the instructions are easy to follow, making the process straightforward. Overall, it's a fantastic little kit that I would highly recommend for those who are just starting out in winemaking.

I was skeptical about this kit before I bought it, but wasn't disappointed after. I have been making wine monthly with this kit. I have used up and had to replace some of the items because of the amount of use I have done with this kit. I get about 5 bottles of 750 ml wine with each brewing and have expanded on the kit with other essential wine making items.

I recently purchased this home wine brewing system, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the results! From start to finish, the process was straightforward and user-friendly, even for someone like me who’s fairly new to winemaking. The system comes with clear instructions and all the essential tools, making it easy to get started right away. The fermentation process is surprisingly efficient, and I loved watching the transformation over time. The system’s design is compact yet robust, fitting perfectly on my countertop without taking up too much space. Cleanup is also a breeze, which I appreciate after a long day of brewing.Best of all, the wine quality has been amazing! The flavors are rich, smooth, and comparable to some store-bought options I’ve tried. It’s been a fun, rewarding hobby, and I love that I can now serve my own handcrafted wine at gatherings. Highly recommend this system for anyone looking to explore winemaking at home—it’s a great investment and has brought a whole new level of enjoyment to my love for wine!

Rating: 4.5/5Price: 4/5Ease-of-use: 4/5Quality: 4.75/5Taste: 4.25/5The quality of this wine-making kit is astounding. It includes literally everything you need to make a quality first batch of wine, such as the appropriate ingredients, siphoning equipment, etc.I found the manual to be quite useless, and I never used it or understood it, really. I just tried figuring out everything on my own; therefore, the ease-of-use is lacking. I also believe it is priced too high. The flavor & efficiency of the wine is very good. I made wine within a week. I wish they included way more WINE YEAST, which is definitely the most important ingredient, so I'm not sure why they included such a small amount when compared to the other, lesser important ingredients. Although there some pros and some cons, I'd definitely recommend this wine making kit, but I just wish it were a bit cheaper and included more useful instructions and more wine yeast. Other than that, it is excellent in terms of quality, volume, and flavor.

I’m a total wine making newbie. The kit arrived in excellent condition, with everything that was advertised. The yeast all have expiration dates that are about two years in the future. IMO, it’s a very good value for someone wanting to try this out. I ended up buying a second one-gallon carboy and have two batches in their second fermentation now.The only “cons” in this kit is the instructions. It came with a booklet with recipes and single page with procedures. I found them both to be a bit vague and confusing. Also, the instructions on the sanitizer were vague. It doesn’t say how long to let items soak or if it can be mixed in a spray bottle (as others can). These are my only critiques. Nice kit overall!

This kit is super adorable, comes with the majority of the pieces to make 1 gallon of homemade wine!Downfall; the 1st stage fermenter was not air tight (YouTube video helped save the day), the yeast in the kit was dead, and the wine book for the coffee one that I chose wasn’t clear and skipped steps... like adding in the yeast?

Overall I'm happy with the purchase, it didn't take long to get my first batch started. I have a few minor points to mention that could make this a better fit for those of us just starting to get into the hobby. All in all, I'm pleased with the number of non-standard recipes in the booklet, and I the kit has enough supplies to make a good number of batches- and has basically all the additives needed for most wine styles in reasonable quantities. Since I'm impatient, I will likely order a few more carboys so I can start more batches.1- I think it's fair to not include a hydrometer in the kit since that's a fairly specialized piece of gear, but since it's a key tool, I'd suggest reviewing both the amazon description and the instructions that come with the kit and mention that you strongly recommend purchasing one. Most new hobbyists will figure this out before they make a purchase, but someone buying this as a gift may not!2- I hit a little trouble with my first usage- I did not do a good job of mixing in my sugar, so a lot of it settled to the bottom of the carboy- that's when I realized the kit did not come with a long-handled stirring spoon/paddle. I know home brew ohio has these items (I ordered one as soon as I realized I was in trouble!) but it may be a good idea to include a 24" stirrer in the kit, even if it bumps up the price a little. I did a good amount of research ahead of time, but this was the thing I didn't figure out ahead of time.3- The recipe book/instructions are not all that great- it really is just the recipes themselves, not a step by step how-to (although it may be a good idea to write up a generic step-by-step walkthrough to help out beginners). This really didn't bother me much as I quickly found that there are more than enough resources out on the internet to get this information from. Even listing a web link somewhere in the materials pointing a a few web resources would help- since not every beginner is going to research things ahead of time, at least pointing them in the right direction would be an easy improvement to make. All in all, I'm very happy with the purchase, but I do recommend that beginners thinking about buying this kit make sure they also buy a hydrometer set that comes with a testing vessel, and a long stirrer. As I mentioned, all you really need to expand your use of the kit is more carboys (and vapor locks- but you can easily find these packaged together).
