I ordered this to make a throw chunky blanket for a person that likes shakes of purple. This yarn is very nice and feels the same as the yarn I would purchase at Hobby lobby but a cheaper price. It does come in a sealed package so you will need to let the air out. I burn the yarn to connect and haven’t had issues with it so far. If you are looking for some good yarn and price is feasible for the total amount you are getting try this yarn out.

I love this Homby's Chenille Chunky Yarn. Since I have been working with a variety of yarns to learn how to Finger Knit, Homby's Chunky yarn #8 is my favorite. It is super soft and plush, but don't let that fool you because it is strong, it does not shedd, unravel or peel, it is easy to Finger Knit with, and easy to fuse together when changing colors or extending the yarn. The mint color will be loved by adults, children, and babies a like. If you are in love with the new greens and blues in home design, you will fall in love with this mint color too.

So soft, great coloring and perfect for my daughter who crochets. She’s been making comfy weighted thick blankets with this yarn and she loves it. The thickness helps keep you warm, it’s durable enough to wash and is definitely worth the price.

I purchased this product to make a baby blanket gift. Initially I was very pleased with the yarn and took no issue. However I noticed a difference in the fibers and quality of this yarn vs. other yarn skeins of the same brand.This gray shed. Just enough to be noticeable and it was stringy. Despite my this, the knot strength is strong. The yarn is very lightweight and soft. I have not washed it, but I anticipate it should wash well.

This product is great quality and a great price. I made this blanket for my son and he was 100% happy with the warmth, feel, and size. I did end up ordering a small amount of a different brand to add to it when I ran out that was also great. I’d recommend getting more than the 8 pack for a decent sized blanket. The 12 pack is perfect!

Ordered for my wife to make a chunky crochet blanket for our daughter. Ordered the 8 pack and all 8 were perfect. It was enough to make a large blanket. Nice and warm.

I wanted to crochet a chunky blanket for my sister for Christmas and decided to go with a giant hook and giant yarn. While it was tough to get the hang of using a big hook (T-30, 30 mm hook), this yarn was easy to work with while I was getting the hang of it and I’m so glad it wasn’t stretchy. You’ll need to keep your tension looser than normal if you end up using a hook!The yarn is so soft. Perfect texture for a blanket. I used an easy pattern (1 row double crochet, 1 row slip stitch) and it ended up looking like it was harder than it was. It worked up quickly (I had to redo quite a few stitches though so it evened out the timeline 😂). I loved the color I chose! The yarn came in vacuum packed bags which was convenient - tip: only open each bag as you need more yarn. Less stuff everywhere! The smell wasn’t too bad, in fact, I don’t remember being repulsed at all. Good value for the money. If I had bought these elsewhere, I probably would have had to drop more money to make a blanket. That said, this comes with 8 skeins of yarn. It’s enough to make a lap blanket. Perfect for reading, sitting, etc. and for a few simple tassels. Covers you from the waist down, basically. Looks cute on a couch or on the end of a bed.:) But too small for covering your whole body to take a nap on the couch. 😂 I’d recommend either buying additional single skeins to make it a tad bigger, or buy 16 total if you want ensure that it’ll cover someone’s whole body. My sister loved it as a gift and didn’t think it was too small so if you can’t buy more, you’ll likely be ok.:) Hope the photos help you get a better idea of the sizing!

I bought the yarn for a real quick hand knit blanket project.I noticed 2 of the skeins felt flat (even after letting it air out from the vacuum sealed packaging).So I saw this neat trick where you can run the yarn through your whisk and it will help fluff up the condensed/packed yarn.In the photo, the left yarn felt thin and flat while the right felt more plush and thicker. The right yarn seems a lot plush and visually plush and the left looks slightly less plush. As I ran my hand through the left sided yarn, I did notice some spots where it was thinner. It's alittle hard to see in the picture but I can see and feel that there is a bit of a difference.So In my opinion, the quality of each skein and the "plushness" / chunkyness(?) feels slightly inconsistent.
