much better quality than my old THULE pads. these can fit tighter and don't slide as much as others i've used . Ho-stevie is the bomb too

I bought these for a ladder rack to carry a new kayak I purchased. The tubing on the ladder rack was rectangle and these fit perfectly. Installation was super easy and looks so much more professional than a duct taped pool noodle.

Installed on a Honda CRV. The pads look great and installed easily! We were hoping to use them with a kayak because of the price if we have to use two cars, but the pads are just too thin. Still giving the pads five stars though because they probably work well with surfboards that lie flat on the pads vs a kayak that's angled. We can use the pads if we turn the kayak over so the top rests on the pads and with short trips to the water or if we use a rooftop carrier. So the pads should work well with anything that can lay flat on the bars.

Admittedly, I got these for very different reasons than the fun that they are designed to handle. I do have a paddle-board but it stays full-time at our friend's cabin and is rarely transported rooftop. Sidebar - Make friends with vacation houses. All the perks with none of the maintenance! Anyways, I picked up these roof pads because my wife and I find ourselves hauling random odd-length things fairly often. We are slowly remodeling our house and sometimes we need to haul 12' long lumber, or maybe a roll of carpet. I bought these pads to protect our factory roof racks as well as add a little cushion to protect and help secure whatever random things we might be hauling. Having something that can compress helps add a good amount of stability to whatever you are hauling. The pads themselves are made of nice heavy material. and they fit both of our factory aero bars fine (Grand Cherokee and RX350). What gave me pause was that when I opened the pads up they are essentially a pocketed cover lined in velcro that houses what is essentially a split pool noodle. At first, I was annoyed that it wasn't a heavier rubber-type padding, but then it dawned on me that at any point the foam deteriorates, it's a simple problem to solve by hitting up the nearest Walmart. With time and materials, I could easily make a set of these, but I didn't and I honestly wouldn't save any money if I tried to make a similar quality set on my own. Plus I have more important projects than making roof rack pads.

The 28" fit my Toyota RAV4 nicely with about 3" on each side. These are well made and should last a very long time. Good to protect your board but also good to protect your crossbars when loading lumber etc. at the home center. The Velcro is plenty strong to leave them on without a load, but I wouldn't recommend it. These are well made and should last a very long time. Nice set up longer roof rack pads to help protect your cross bars and gear. They are essentially just a pool noodle with a slit in it wrapped in a nicer outer package but they are much cleaner looking than just using a pool noddle by itself.The material the noddles are wrapped in and the Velcro used to secure them are heavy duty and very professional looking. I actually use to use pool noddles for the same purpose back in the day but now that I have a nicer car and nicer kayak and SUP I wanted a more classy solution. These do the trick nicely and are easy to install when i want to take some of my toys out on the water.Would recommend.

When this arrived I’ve noticed the logo and instructions were attached to the product with ties and they drill small holes on the bottom of the product.I didn’t liked as it looks damaged even so was on the portion that would be underneath the rack so it wasn’t visible.Still I think it could have been done differently.The seller reached me out and explained the reasons why they make the holes so they can save on using plastic etc.I was pretty surprised that they reach me out on first place. I didn’t know their shop was also from San Diego where I live so I am glad to support a local business.I even got a gift sent out to me.Not that this was my intention when I wrote my feedback about the holes, but it was an spontaneous nice gesture from the seller.
