This kit contained all I needed to replace the carburetor on a Stihl 55BG leaf blower. The quality appeared to be as good as the OEM on the equipment and fitment was perfect in all respects. Very reasonably priced and succeeded in putting me back in operation. Machine ran excellent from first pull. pleased with this purchase and vendor.

Original problem: The primer bulb was not working. I first tried all the easy troubleshooting stuff (new primer bulb, new clean fuel, fuel filter, spark arrestor, etc) but nothing worked. I took apart the carb and cleaned it well but the primer bulb still didn't work so I assume there's a clog I cant get to. Stihl dealership said it's highly likely a new carb is needed.I was very skeptical about this because a new OEM carburetor costs 5x more and often when a price is too good to be true, it usually means its inferior junk for a reason. I originally went to my local STIHL dealership and they warned me against buying 3rd party parts but I was not interested in buying a new OEM carb that is nearly half the cost of buying an entirely new leaf blower. But I also get their standpoint though, not only do they want the sale but also there are a lot of stories of cheap parts not working and actually causing more problems so it's a valid warning.Keep in mind I was planning on doing all the replacement labor myself so a STIHL dealership will not repair your leaf blower using a 3rd party carb to begin with. Maybe you'll have better luck at a small engine repair shop? With all that said, I decided to buy this and take a risk on losing a little money if it didn't work, it was a low risk high reward scenario for me. I'm no mechanic but I know enough of the basics that I felt comfortable doing the replacement myself, with the help of YT videos of course. The actual swap replacement took under 30mins and was fairly easy as long as you keep track of how everything came off. Once I completed the replacement, I took out the spark plug and pulled the rope a dozen times to clear any possible flooding in the engine. I then replaced with a new spark plug since it was older anyways. The primer bulb worked now and after several pulls, it started up!I did have to adjust one of the carb adjustment screws (YMMV) as it was bogging down on full throttle (watch some YT vids) but it was like a 1/4 turn and 30secs to do.I have used it about 6-8 times, it starts easy and runs great. I will update this review if the carb has issues after more use but for now I recommend this as it saved me a lot of money and fairly easy to do.

My Stihl BG55 leaf blower would idle ok, but it would stall out when opening the throttle. I ran seafoam in with the fuel first, no changes. I had attempted replacing the fuel filter, air filter and spark plug. I did remove the spark arrester and clean any carbon out with a MAP gas torch. Idle remained ok, but the stalling continued. I installed the new carburetor kit along with a new fuel tank breather. The engine started much easier but would eventually die. I adjusted the screw just under the handle to the right and it would idle without stalling. Now the engine starts with one pull.
