I purchased this when my original salt lamp cord broke. I keep my lamp on (a dimmer setting) 24/7 and this cord has held up and I believe I’ve had it roughly a year now. If any of my other lamps need a new cord I’m purchasing this again.

Easy to assemble. Put the bulb in the socket, put the socket in the salt rock base. I have a large salt lamp with a wooden base. The hole for the bulb is 1.5 inches. The prongs that hold the socket in place have to be squeezed just a bit to go in. Easy. Perfect fit.The dimmer is not necessary but is appreciated. It also works easily and well.

This product is great. Bundling 2 together is very cost effective. Still sort of expensive but maybe I’m just cheap. It does exactly what it’s supposed to, though. The clips are a little inflexible, but generally not a problem once you get them on there.Originally, when I ordered this item, I failed to realise that it comes with lightbulbs. Even after ordering, comparing options, receiving the item, replacing the bases, and searching for lightbulbs. I bought probably… at least 50 million different lightbulbs I think trying to find some that fit. Only to realise that the little white boxes inside were, in fact, not just packaging. So, yeah. It comes with lightbulbs, who knew.

The cord that originally came with my salt lamp shorted out and I needed to find a replacement. I was worried as this base was a bit different than the one I was replacing, but I thought it would fit so I gave it a try. Additionally, for the price, it was a great deal. I did have to research a little to see if it met/had all of the safety certifications...it always makes me nervous buying electrical components online. After sorting out that the cord had either UL, or ETL or CE listings for all of the necessary elements (cord, switch, base/socket) I made the purchase.It arrived on time, securely packaged, and all the included bulbs were intact. I unboxed the item, and inspected the cord, socket and switch for the safety certification marks. They were all there, so I inserted a bulb and gave it test. It worked without issue. The fit into my lamp was a bit sung, but that was what I was looking for, as my last one was too loose, so this was perfect. The dimmer mechanism worked perfectly as well, so I put the lamp back in it's place, where it has been working well and without problems ever since.I'm happy with the purchase, and would recommend.

Just got this in today to replace the base of a crystal geode lamp that was too bright white LED looking. First off, decent quality. I liked the option of a dimmer and I'm glad I went with that. BUT, I'm not sure if it's the bulb, the wattage, the brightness, or the fact that it's a crystal instead of a salt lamp, but I had it turned on full brightness for a couple of hours and the whole thing, base and top, got SO hot. Fire and burn hazard hot. I turned it way way down and it's still pretty warm, but not nearly as hazardous. I do have a salt lamp as well, and I considered switching the cords out but the salt lamp has a base, this crystal now does not, that was the point of buying a cord kit that has a base attached. I may try this base with a lower wattage bulb, and I still like the soft glow the low light option gives off, but I won't be trusting enough to leave this one on 24/7 like my salt lamp that's for sure. Otherwise, it is overall exactly what I was looking for and holds the heavy crystal without breaking.

Well, I needed to get a replacement base with cord for a salt lamp. Of all things, my dog Lexi accidentally pulled the lamp over and onto the dimmer switch, breaking the switch. Found this replacement base with cord and dimmer switch, and 6 California-compliant light bulbs. Thought I would give it a try.Very pleased with this purchase. The replacement base works great and fits perfectly with my original salt lamp. Light bulbs are very bright and came packed securely for shipping and subsequent storage her at home. A great value, too. So happy to have the warm, comforting glow of the salt lamp back again!I highly recommend this product.
