Internal tooth lock washers are hardened, circular washers with twisted prongs or "teeth" extending inward from the inside edge. The internal "teeth" are used to prevent nuts and bolts from loosening, or backing out, caused by vibration and/or corrosion. These have a zinc-plated finish.

These worked well for me to stop guitar potentiometers from working loose. They work well for US-sized pots.
