it's not advertised as such but the description says they can be inserted with heat which is true but not what these are designed for.These are for injection molding.Otherwise the quality seems good.

A very useful sample kit of various size threaded inserts. These use small fins on the outside - seem to work better than the knurled type I've used before.There is a good range of sizes (both diameter and depth) and a decent number of pieces per size - plenty for testing prototypes.The size of the inserts is accurate - size the counterbore on the stated dims of the insert and they set square and tight with a soldering iron.I've used these in PLA and PETG with no issues - very happy.

These work very well and with the price it's a great kit to have on hand. I do a lot of custom 3d printer parts and these work very well.

I bought these with the specific intention of attaching 3D printed parts together, and they work great. When modeling, just make the hole where you intend to put the insert 1-2 mm smaller than the insert and they slide right in if you guide it in with a hot soldering iron.
