About this item

  • BMP180 is a high-precision, small size, ultra-low power pressure sensor that can be used in mobile devices
  • Its performance excellence, the absolute accuracy of the lowest can reach 0.03hPa, and low power consumption, only 3μA
  • BMP180 powerful 8-pin ceramic leadless chip carrier (LCC) ultra-thin package, you can directly through the I2C bus connected with a variety of microprocessors
  • Pressure range: 300 ~ 1100hPa (9000 meters above sea level ~ -500 meters)
  • Low power consumption: 5μA in standard mode

Introduction:
Measuring the absolute pressure of the enviroment using a digital barometer such as this has some interesting applications. By converting the pressure measured into altitude, you have a reliable sensor for determining the height of your robot, plane or projectile!
Using a sensor as capable as the BMP180 you can achieve accurary of 1m, with noise of only 17cm in ultra high resolution noise. The device will operate at only 0.3uA meaning low current draw for battery powered applications.
The BMP180 comes fully calibrated and ready to use. As the device operates over I2C we've added optional I2C pull ups that can be enabled using the PU (pull up) jumper on the board for your convenience and ease during breadboarding.
Using I2C, the device provides pressure and temperature as 16bit values, which are used along with calibration data within the device are used to provide a temperature compensated altitude calculation.
Features:
1.8V to 3.6V Supply Voltage
Low power consumption - 0.5uA at 1Hz
I2C interface
Max I2C Speed: 3.5Mhz
Very low noise - up to 0.02hPa (17cm)
Full calibrated
Pressure Range: 300hPa to 1100hPa (+9000m to -500m)
Package Included:
1*GY-68 BMP180 Digital Barometric Pressure Sensor Module

I want a REFUND this sensor didn't work. It has worked before from my previous purchases though. Still this shouldn't be a game of rolling dice to get the good sensor. I deserve what I PAID for!!! >:(

I'm pretty new and still learning the whole Arduino thing, but this was not hard to find a piece of code for and it worked good.

I am not going to change my review of the BMP180 from HiLetgo because the problems I experienced with the BMP180 is fact, however, I have changed the number of stars from one to five because of the outstanding customer service from HiLetgo. Customer service sent me datasheets (which I had studied previously trying to make the BMP180 work) but in addition, HiLetgo has stood behind their product and reputation, they sincerely apologized for the problems I have experienced with their BMP180 and offered a full refund even though the 30 day return period has expired. I wish all companies where as honest, helpful and customer focused as HiLetgo. I will consider purchasing from HiLetgo again, simply because they are an honest seller wanting to do the right thing by their customers.Bought two BMP180, one seems to work accurately, the other reads 10C higher. Swapped sensors from one position to the other and verified it was the BMP180, not my software or hardware. Ordered two more BMP180 from HiLetgo thinking I was unlucky with one sensor, next two BMP180 read 25C high and 210C high. Swapped sensor positions again just to be sure it wasn't my software or hardware and sure enough the faulty BMP180s followed the position swap. The faulty BMP180 pressure also read high by between 20 and 30mb higher than the BMP180 that is working.I will steer clear of anything with HiLetgo stamped on it in future.

Tried using it on a Red Pitaya and an Arduino and it didn't work in any of them. The LED doesn't turn on. Don't buy this only because it's cheap.EDIT: This sensor INDEED WORKS. The sensor that does not work is the GPS HiLetgo GY-NEO6MV2.EDIT2: The GPS sensor may be working too.

I bought this for a project I built as my final project in an Internet of Things class. It works really great, and the price is good. You will have to solder the pins on if you need them.
