PLECOS LOVE ALGAE WAFERS
Plecostomus can lose body mass over time when not fed properly. Most people think they can survive eating the algae in the aquarium exclusively, this couldn’t be farther from the truth. They require a nutrient mix that is high in vegetable ingredients, but also require specific amino acids, vitamins and minerals. For this reason, even if you chose to feed fresh vegetables, be sure a formulated diet, like Hikari Algae Wafers, is part of your offering. They also love to scrape their food from surfaces, like driftwood. For this reason our pellet is a disc shape which allows them to feed more instinctually.
Feeding Guide: Many plecos are nocturnal feeders, keep this in mind when choosing when and how much to feed. Feed up to two times per day the amount of food your fish will completely consume within about an hour. Always remove any uneaten food after the feeding period and avoid over-feeding.
TANGS LOVE ALGAE WAFERS
Everyone loves to see a tang that is as healthy as can be. Many times they tend to lose body mass over time due to a lack of readily available food or others in the tank that get to it before they do. Hikari Algae Wafers is a perfect choice to provide them all the vegetable matter they require and the amino acids, vitamins and minerals too. LARGER AFRICAN CICHLIDS LOVE ALGAE WAFERS
These fish require larger amounts of vegetable matter in their daily diet. Hikari Algae Wafers affords them a fantastic nutrient mix along with all the necessary amino acids, vitamins and minerals they require to live a long and health-filled life.
Feeding Guide: Many larger herbivorous cichlids can be grazers. Hikari Algae Wafers are formulated to maintain their shape for an extended period of time to allow them to do exactly that or Mini Algae Wafers can be gobbled up readily if that is their preferred feeding habit. Feed twice per day the amount of food your fish will completely consume within about 5 minutes for direct feeding and more often daily for a longer period of time for grazing. Always remove any uneaten food after the feeding period and avoid over-feeding.

My fish absolutely love the tabs. Originally, I purchased the wafers for my Cory but it becomes a feeding frenzy with all my fish. I actually break them in halves and quarters because they last a long time.

These were perfect for our plecos to eat without having to let the tank get dirty. they promote cleanliness. they worked amazing and the didn’t discolor the water. they look like little green circles. and smell a little fishy but they’re god for tank health and pleco health.

Nice form of algae and other high protein sources in little slow dissolving wavers. All my nano tank community come and pick at them but the cory cats just love these! I bought a small package of them to try but when those run out I'll definitely be buying the larger version. These work great!

These are great! My snails go NUTS for them in between veggie feedings! The shrimp we have also seem to really really like them! Great deal on the larger bag and the wafers are always sealed and fresh!

Hikari products are really awesome. Using for quite some times now. Also had micro pallets which small mouth fishes loved a lot. This @lgae wafer loved by Shrimps, Ottocinclus and sometimes fishes also. Go for it guys. See attached photo. Guys rushing to tablet to eat on first come first serve. BTW it's not like our real Wafer. It's tablet type food. For better, crack one tablet in 2 and put in 2 different areas. One tablet sufficient for 20 odd shrimps (divided in 2 pcs).

Seriously I have the most gluttonous community tank but only if it's up to their standard. We have been thru lots of algae wafers and this is the only one that gets fed to our tanks. They are small and thin so that makes them easy to half. We use 3 wafers broken into halves in one of our tanks and this is my favorite wafer because it is so easy to split. Thank goodness, they actually float straight down to the bottom. I've had others float for a bit first but not these. They drop quickly and once on the bottom they hold their form. The wafer doesn't last long in any of our tanks except one and in that one tank, it sits for a good bit. It stays together, doesn't disapate and it's easy for the algae eaters to eat on it for awhile. We went thru a million flakes before I found one that I could use in am to offset the frozen food in pm. If they don't like it's going to mostly just pollute my tank. Shrimp pellets is another one that took many tries. Luckily I tried this wafer after two misses and it was hit. For the price, algae wafer quality and amount in bag,this is a great value and I recommend trying it. It's a hit with all fish, bottom feeders etc in my tank, no matter their dietary preferences.
