Initial review; the wire looks like good quality. But the reason I felt should write my review before trying the product, is because of the box it comes in tries to be convenient but it was a beast to set up. The box is basically the shape of a CD case (only thicker) and the top has a cutout. The idea is to pull the wire from the coil up through the middle and cut as needed, and the box says "DO NOT remove coil from box, this may cause the coil to spring up." Makes sense...but how are you supposed to get any wire if the coil is secured within the box at three location by a metallic twist tie. You have to take the coil out of the box, loosen the twist ties enough to rotate them, so the pig tail faces inward, but not to much that the coil comes undone. Then put the coil back in the box, cut the twist ties right at the pig tail, and shimmy them around the coil to the side of the box that has the opening and pull them out. After all this setup, the coil come out of the top as described, but I just wanted others to go in, knowing the box takes some TLC to setup.

Bought this to create some lower-tensioned springs for bits in my center console on my older BMW. Works great. Good amount of bounce and memory.

I expected a half-corroded, haphazardly-rolled length of wire. Not sure why that's what I expected, but was pleasantly surprised when the wire showed up in a clean and colorful pay-out box. I frequently deal with mil electrical connectors that need the contacts removed. Sometimes the appropriate tools aren't sufficient for salvaging the housing, or I find myself working on one that someone else didn't assemble correctly. I really only needed a foot or so, but for $6 I got somewhere arond 450 feet. This is Precision Brand Music Wire, the 0.029" diameter. I will definately purchase this brand again.

Used this wire to string atop windows and curtain rods, as a deterrent for birds. The wire is a good quality and was easy to install for that somewhat unusual purpose. Its sturdy enough to prevent the birds from landing atop my window frames and yet is thin enough to be nearly invisible against our house exterior walls.

I have a Gen1 Cold Steel Recon 1. Spring on the lock broke, and they said I had to ship the knife in. Screw that! Yes, I spent money on this, but, then it also would have cost to ship it in...This was a nice option. I chose the next gauge of wire, to make a slightly heavier spring. It also allowed me to make one for the other side. Remember, springs should always be replaced as a set...This also leaves plenty to play with for any other odd or unusual applications.High quality, consistent thickness. Pre-tempered and ready to use to make any type of spring.Good stuff!
