I wasn't expecting much when ordering this fan, just a small exhaust fan to keep temperatures down in my attic and elsewhere. I ordered two, and the quality of both is amazing. All metal construction, even the blades. The whole fan feels heavy, constructed well, and worthy of the name "industrial fan" they put on the front of the owner's manual. It's also very well balanced and doesn't rattle or shake, despite the high speed. This is not a quiet fan that you want in your living room or something, it moves a lot of air, which is going to make some noise. Another big plus is the cord which is extra long, with a nice switch. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Pulls a ton of air on the higher speeds, and it still effective but much quieter at the lowest speeds. If you don't specifically need the backdraft plates that are flapping about on the back, removing them makes this run much quieter. I found it emitted a hollow kind of resonant sound with them in place which drove me crazy. They're easy to remove.

I installed this in my garage to eliminate the smell of the garbage. It works perfectly. Because it round it’s easier to install with just a 6” hole in the wall and it’s powerful enough that it does eliminate the smell. It’s not quite but I don’t need it to be in a garage.

The fan head arrived detached from the motor and banging around inside the casing. I don't know if this is an indication of poor build quality overall or if I just got a bad unit. I think at the very least it gives me concerns about the quality control of these units and/or their ability to be durable enough to be shipped.Returned this item for replacement -- will see if the new one arrives in working order and turns on when it is plugged in.

This fan is very powerful and easy to install. It keeps my chickens cool in 95 degree Georgia heat and seems to be of high quality. My only gripe is that it is fairly loud and large. This might be a necessary evil for the level of air movement I need, so if you have a very small space needing movement, go with something smaller.

The blades are very small and the motor is very big...which means it makes a lot of noise. It works, but man it's loud. Really sort of unusable for an inside application.

I buy a lot of industrial equipment for work. This is a really high quality product. If you need an in-wall fan that moves a lot of air, this is a great option!I bought this to move air in between rooms in my house. We have a mini-split in the main room and our bedroom doesn't get any of the heat or air conditioning. This fan works perfectly to get the conditioned air into our bedroom. It's a 130 sqft room and with the fan running at half speed, it equalizes the temperature in the two rooms.I put a fan speed controller switch on it and wired that into the wall of the room. At full speed, it's a bit loud. We run it at half speed normally and it does fine. If we need to cool things off quickly, we can do full speed. The only bad thing about it is the power cord. This is obviously an item that needs to be wired in. It's a weird choice to put a plug on it. I rewired it so it would have a contiguous wire all the way to a junction box. Not a big deal. This is a seriously high quality product. The metal is very thick. The fan blades are metal, not plastic. The fan blades are also balanced from the factory. This is an expensive process that helps the fan run more quietly and greatly extends its life. I didn't expect it to be this nice.If you need an in-wall fan that moves a lot of air, buy this!

I installed this fan to mount right above the oven vent in our home. The air-fryer function of the oven inevitably generates smoke that our over-the-stove microwave vent could not handle and would fill the kitchen with smoke. Didn't want the expense of a big oven vent or lose the location of the microwave so thought I would try this. Our kitchen back into the garage so it was easy to just vent smoke out there. Eventually I will connect to the outside. Works great!! Sucks ALL the smoke from the oven out of the kitchen -- in fact air movement is enough to vent anything on top of the stove, too, although that wasn't what I put it in for. Seems well made and fits a 6" hole if you have a saw that can make one. Makes some noise, but not as much as the microwave vent on high. I wonder if I could use it with a speed control... hmmmm...

I purchased this fan to remove summer heat from my Phoenix garage when the temps can easily exceed 125. It installs easily in an existing 10"x16" passive circulation vent installed high on the wall by removing the existing louvered vent and mounting the motor to a 1"x3" rectangular frame constructed around the vent opening. This can be done easily with hand tools.PROS- Easy to mount- Auto-close vanes work well as long as they are kept clean (suggest cleaning annually or more often)- Relatively quiet for the amount of air handled- Appears to deliver the full-rated CFM of air, enough to exhaust a 2-car garage under typical circumstancesCONS- Less than an American quality heavy-duty motor; it remains to be seen if it will hold up- A little overpriced for the degree of ruggednessI'll write more after it has been in service for a while.
