When I buy these locally they always have the outside hex size one wrench size smaller than a normal nut. I'm assuming that it's so that one of the two wrenches doesn't make contact with both the coupling nut and the jamb nut. Rarely is that an issue for me. I would much rather have it the same size so I can use a larger wrench. Other than that these are just like any other coupling nut.

I buy a lot of fasteners and hardware for various projects, and use coupling nuts all the time. I am very impressed by the quality of these. They are heavy duty and seem substantial enough to hold up in any job I may used them in.

Very good coupling nuts. Quality looks very good and consistent. The current price of 80 cents each when buying 10 seems very reasonable. The zinc coating adds some corrosion resistance.

When we couldn’t find any more of these on island, these saved the day. We are using these and a threading rod to attach framing to our Quonset hut.

Overpriced but in a pinch they'll do

These coupler nuts are heavy-duty. They worked great with threaded rods. They are easy to tighten with a wrench, and they make a secure connection. I recommend a little loc-tite to prevent any loosening.
