I honestly don't know how these things work, but they are magical. We brought the cooling towels with us to Italy in August. We carried them in a large zip lock bag. As we were walking around the Rome, we wet the towels from the many fountains and wrapped them around our necks. It was instant relief from the heat. When done, we placed them back in our ziplock bags to keep the contents of our bags dry. It also kept them from drying out when we weren't using them. They were a godsend when climbing Vesuvius.

I wear this when cleaning the house and gardening, it keeps me so much cooler. It is so easy to use and for travel is would be awesome, you can always fold up a cloth into the tiniest travel bag. I have friends that use the fan that goes around their neck but you need to charge that and it obviously takes up more room. You're able to wring this out so it doesn't get your shirt/blouse wet, just keeps your neck cool. I am very happy with the product.

I used this in Greece on a kayak tour to keep my neck cool and protect the back of my neck from the sun. The length is perfect to wrap around your neck and tuck into a shirt so it does not blow away or you can tie it around your neck. I wet it the Aegean sea when it would dry from the sun. SOFT on the skin.I kept the plastic container and packed my round eye cream inside of it.I kept one and gave one as a travel gift to someone else. Another person ordered these and they loved it too.

They're just alright. I don't find anything particularly special about them—it feels like using a wet towel.

These were great! I bought enough for each person in my family to have one for our trip to Disney World. The fabric is lightweight, soft and comfortable and is able to hold quite a bit of water. It can fold up into a compact space and so is great for traveling. I was concerned that they may not help much in the humid Florida heat, but they really did help cool us down. I found that in order to be effective they had to be pretty wet, so be aware that your shirt will have wet marks from the towel.

Think “strip of cloth”. That’s all it is. Get the rag wet and hang it around your neck. Now your good to go out and walk across the desert.
