Herm. Sprenger training collar with ClicLock buckle is made in Germany by the world’s foremost manufacturer of top-quality dog collars.
Herm. Sprenger stainless steel dog collar with ClicLock buckle on the side is a newly designed alternative to traditional prong training collars. Quickly unfasten the collar even with one hand by unlocking the buckle, conveniently placed close to the assembly chain that links to the leash. Unlike prong collars with the centrally located buckle, this design still has a center fastener plate and provides even distribution of the pressure by prongs on the dog’s neck.
The prong collar is made of durable, rust resistant stainless steel. Polished finish of the stainless steel offers a distinctive and modern look. This collar offers strength and durability.
Assembly Chain
The Herm. Sprenger training dog collar features a martingale style assembly chain. The chain tightens the collar if the dog pulls on the leash while walking.
Solid Center Plate
Due to symmetrical attachment of the links with the center plate, the collar places even pressure around the neck, pressing the skin in a ring.
Swivel D-Ring
Swivel D-Ring connects with the leash and provides a full 360-degree rotation. This feature prevents tangling and allows complete mobility of the leash.
ClicLock Buckle
Comfort and security are offered by patented “ClicLock” buckle made of stainless steel. The buckle is used to fasten the collar around the dog’s neck without pulling it over the head. Plastic jacket protects the clasp against unintended opening and soiling. The jacket is designed to slide out completely from an open buckle. If the jacket was lost, the function of the buckle mechanism will not be affected. The buckle functions as intended as long as you hear a loud click at the time of the closing.
Effective Training and Behavior Correction Tool
The training collar should fit snugly on the dog’s neck just under the jaw line, although, the collar should not fit too tight. The protective black plastic jacket on the buckle is designed to slide on and off the unfastened buckle. It is strongly recommended to use a backup collar while training your dog with the prong collar.
A properly fit training collar is safe to use and is a very effective training and behavior correction tool. Consider consulting with a professional trainer before use.

This made a tremendous difference in managing walks with my shepherd lab mix. I no longer live in fear of being drug down the street. This dog is very, very strong and very stubborn. I do wish I would have gotten the collar without the quick release buckle and just used the prongs to remove or secure the collar. That black plastic thing is crazy, it falls off almost every use and frankly I am just going to throw that thing away as it a source of a lot of frustration. Collar is well made and does the job outside of that stupid plastic thing.

This collar is wonderful. Please reconsider all the negative reviews about the quick release clasp. I watched many YouTube videos, and guess what ? There is absolutely no need for the black plastic cover!. All it does is cover the clasp. My collar had a good clasp and it was very easy to take off some of the links. It worked almost immediately on my 6 month Golden Doodle. Buy It, you won't be sorry!

I've always been hesitant about using these but I can say that it helped correct walking behavior quickly. Our friends had this collar that was required for the training they had with their dog and they recommended it to us.We have a large lab mix that is very happily energetic and reactive to people and pets. This collar in combo with a backup leash attachment helped reduce the reactivity pretty quickly.The collar is great quality. It's a bit on the pricey end but I trust this thing since it's so well made. Love the clasp too.

Really a well-designed, easy-to-use prong collar. It is easy to put on and remove, it’s sturdy, with prongs thick enough for the most powerful dogs, and works well with my 10 month old, 80 lb. puppy—and weighs about 2/3 of my weight! I started him in obedience training, when I adopted him at 8 months old—and not previously trained. My trainer recommended this collar. I was amazed that because of the design of the collar, it instantly kept him on heel, next to me! It’s well-designed and humane. I bought an additional “quick release” fastener, which can be changed out, but the original one is easy enough, that I haven’t seen the need to change it out.In using it, I was taught to keep my pup beside me, and hold the leash straight up. As long as he stays on heel, there’s minimal pressure on the collar. He’s smart enough that, as I move, he responds quickly, naturally staying in position on heel. So it’s a great, effective training aid.It also gives me confidence that I can control him. Squirrels and every other moving animal and wind-blown leaf, seem naturally attractive to dogs. The collar provides safety that he’s going to stay under control, and not suddenly bolt after anything that moves—as happens outside.The collar is a great investment, works, and gives me confidence I won’t be pulled off-balance, which is an important safety feature for me, with a relatively large dog. He is growing, so I also ordered 4 extra prongs to attach. Being able to adjust the size easily, by adding or removing a few prongs makes this a practical design. As a precaution: the prong collar should be used only when working directly with a dog. Otherwise, it should be removed, to avoid accidental injury.

My German Shepherd dog has a tendency to pull vigorously, and this collar helps to slow him down. The nice part, too, is that the prongs are insulated with rubber so it's not direct metal on the collar of the dog. The only thing I don't like is that though it's doable, it's not too easy to remove one or more links if necessary. Otherwise, it's sturdily made and so far so good. If anything changes I will update this review.

With all the false knock offs it took alot of studying and contacting HS to find an authorized dealer. Drop it is one of them. The collar is everything you need it to be, an essential in training any large or extreme breed of Dogs, especially male.I have an 11 month old, 85lb, Male Dogo Argentino ( Ares ). He immediately followed with focus and eager to please once just the lightest bit of correction was used. My wife can now easily walk him without worrying that he will decide to bolt for a rabbit. Honestly this was by far the greatest training tool i have gottwn Ares since he was brought home at 8 wks. Unfortunately there were 2 issues. if you know the Dogo Argentino breed...they are extremely large, muscular, athletic dogs bread for big game hunting and for family protection. They were also blessed with one layer of a very short all white coat that is beautiful and just ads to their impressive appearance, but with that come an extremely high allergy and skin irritations. Ares was having slight reactions to the metal.Also with the quick release button on the side Ares was able to use that brain of his and figure out where to scratch enough for the button to release. If we had not been using a secondary lead we would have No Ares but a HS collar. Just a tip, put in the 30 seconds to hook and un hook the prong rather than buying the quick release.Ill post again when i get my new one (Currogan metal ) after my refund cleard for the return.

This is an excellent prong collar. I was reluctant to get a prong collar, always thought they looked cruel. But my dog trainer recommended one, and this one in particular because of the high quality ... every prong is smoothed so there are no sharp edges! Prior to getting this collar, I could barely walk my dog, he pulled, he lunged at bunnies, he just wasn't pleasant to walk with at all. First time out with this collar, he walked perfectly! I very rarely have to give him a little snap to remind him to stay with me, and now our walks are so pleasant! I could not be happier with this collar! It costs bit more than most, but for the quality and the comfort for my dog (NO rough pointy bits on the end of the prongs, not cruel!), it is WELL worth the cost! Changed our lives ... now we walk more because it's now a joy and no longer a chore. We get out and walk more ... good for me, good for my dog! THIS prong collar is humane and best of all, it WORKS! I highly recommend this collar!

Excelente producto, estaba usando un collar de castigo y me recomendaron este de pellizco y hay una gran diferencia ya que con el de castigo el perro como quiera da tirones muy fuertes y con el de pellizco lo controla más fácilmente, lo estoy usando con un perro akita americano cachorro de nueve meses
